October 27th 2012 Skyline Drive Cruise

Alright here is the Official thread on the upcoming Skyline Drive meet on 10/27/12

Where: Front Royal Food Lion across from the Rite Aid

260 Remount Rd.
Front Royal, VA 22630

When: 10:00AM

Skyline Drive's Webpage (http://www.nps.gov/shen/planyourvisi...line-drive.htm) is 105 miles of gorgeous mountain scenery, stretching from Charlottesville to Front Royal. With stops for bathroom, food, views, etc. the drive should take about 4 hours. We will be meeting at the Food Lion in Front Royal across from the Rite Aid. There is gas and food right next to it so you can fuel up your tank and belly for the ride. Bring cash with you since the entrance to the drive costs around (10-15 dollars) I forget. The speed limit is 35mph, and they're strict about it, so drive at your own risk and be considerate. In the past couple years of doing this meet, we have had some accidents and people getting speeding tickets and it isnt fun.

Don't forget your walkie talkies! Channel 7 is our channel to talk and bull**** while driving haha. Going:

About a decade ago there was a fall foliage tour along that route, very memorable. I should have the Baja ready to roll by then, if not I'll bring something else if that is Ok.

after my first time this weekend I sort of understand for it. There were quite a few bikers and such on the roads (rolls eyes).
