I ran my 1.8 in virtually stock form, when I only had suspension mods (ALK, STB, Eibach springs, KYB's), UK 17" rims, and an '01 RS Muffler, 15 lb jdm aluminum hood.

I made 3 passes, each time at 18.7@74 mph!!!

My car also had 160k miles on it at the time.

I spent many bitter years getting spanked by every other car on the road, and not being able to do jack about it...hence the evil jdm plan that has worked to perfection. Now I have a car that brutally rapes V8's. They will never mock the Scooby again!!! MUuuAAHHahahahaha (evil laugh)

Some day I'll work through my issues from driving a high 18 second car for so long...

I wouldn't have the balls to take my car to the dragstrip. But with 18 sec. 1/4 miles, we're putting out 10 sec/L!

OK I have a 95' 1.8L AWD L 5 speed. open element air filter is all ive done to the engine. Suspension and P7 wheels which I beleive actually slow me down because of their weight. My best time in 90 degree weather and high humidity was 18.22. My clutch pretty much prevented me from doing any better because it would slip all the way through the launch and when i pulled 2nd gear (106,000 miles on original clutch).

Default help while on the subject

ok guys since you are on the subject. Im looking to pick up my brothers 93 L Fwd from him for a project car. Since I see some of you guys like annointed have done swaps like this could you guys give me some info. Im not new to motor swaps. Its just that my experience is with honda/acura's. Thing like how hard will it be to drop the EJ20 in and what will it take to convert to AWD or will i need to. Any info would be great guys

This is the wrong forum...try Factory Forced Induction...but do a search first...there are a couple of 'cover the whole subject' posts that really give you all the info you need and more.

Good luck!
