A/C Condensate
Hi all,
I have an A/C related question. I have an 08 Tribeca. The coolant is fine, heat works, a/c works great. Problem started showing up about 2-3 days ago. Problem is when I use A/C, a pretty good amount of water drips from below the glove box area (where front passengers feet would be). I'm assuming it is the condensate from the A/C (its been really humid here lately). What can I do to troubleshoot? I took a quick look and that under-dash is buttoned up pretty tight. I wonder if the condensate line is plugged or something. Would the condensate drip line be accessible from under the vehicle? Could I 'snake' it somehow....or is there something else I should be checking? Thanks for any help Rob

You've got spiders in your evap drain. Pull the evap hose off and blow it out with air.
Make certain you have a towel under the evap port when you pull the hose off. If you don't you will have a very wet rug. Hope this helps 22BKEEPER |

I don't think I'd pull it off, maybe just try to blow it out or use something to clear the hose. You should see it over by the passenger side firewall area close to the fender. A short bit of black hose. When was the last time you changed the cabin air filter? If that's clogged it can mess up the airflow.

Like Peaty said, short black hose, about 1" outside diameter, passenger's side underneath on the firewall. Run a non-sharp snake up it and get wet.
