Default Marvel-Disney: Big Hero 6 (2014)

Thought there was already a dedicated thread on this, but search is failing me today

New Disney/Marvel CG animated film based on lesser known Marvel comic property

Full trailer here from yahoo video link, cannot figure out how to embed

http://io9.com/disneys-first-trailer...ble-1580132826

Quote:
Big Hero 6 is loosely based on the not-super-well-known comic series. The whole thing has kind of been reset by Disney and takes place in the fictional city called San Fransokyo. The story ceneters around the little hero you see here, Hiro Hamada, and his self-created robot Baymax. Eventually they'll pick up the rest of the six later, we assume.

But even more fascinating, why is there no reference to Marvel or the comics in this trailer? The Marvel name is a cash cow. We wonder why Disney isn't mentioning it? *Shrugs* At least it looks insanely adorable. Big Hero 6 will be released on November 7th, 2014.

Hmmm. That wasn't enough to even get me curious. But Marvel can do no wrong lately, so I'll reserve judgment until I see more.

Teaser trailer sucks, real trailer is in the io9 link, but it's not youtube so I can't figure out how to embed it.

Yeah, over the past 6 or so years since the 1st Iron Man, Marvel has been killing it. Everything before that was ... campy.

And to think y'all didn't want RDJ to be Tony Stark. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...light=iron+man

And... http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1259425

I liked this from Hawkeye: "Excited for the movie not excited with John Favreau as the director choice. "

Ahh didn't see that link. Ok that looks much better. I'm getting a Marvel vs Incredibles vibe from it, which I'm okay with. Not everything needs to be for adults. I bet it'll be entertaining.

If it's a similar team that was behind Wreck It Ralph, then I'm hopeful.

Ok so this comic title does take place in the main MCU and has other japanese characters like Sunfire and Silver Samurai, but this film version seems to take place on it's own reality

New character images up, very Pixar-ish designs

I don't think this is meant for older crowds... Something tells me that my 6 y/o niece and nephew will love this movie.
Trailer was kind of funny.
I notice on those character design images it says "this material was not approved by Disney."

It looks like they're trying really hard to not give away too much, which I REALLY appreciate if that's the case. Less is more. No details on the villain or individual abilities of the team were revealed. Looks like it has a lot of heart, too. Winning!

Took the kid to see it today, and it was pretty darn awesome. I'm looking forward to a sequel.

My friends say this was right up there with Wreck-It-Ralph and Lego Movie, so now I'm SUPER excited to see it! I'm glad trailers aren't giving away too much of what makes the movies good. It sucks when there are no surprises left when you actually go see the movie.
