Default New ways of accessing entertainment

Recently, there has been a push from big name youtubers and a bunch of music artists getting together to provide a different service to access media and entertainment different. For youtubers, Vessel is a newer way of accessing their videos before it hits youtube. For music artists, Tidal is a way to accessing music that is exclusively music artist owned (including Daft Punk, Jay-Z, Usher, Deadmau5, Madonna, and several others).

What say you?

Will Youtube die out to Vessel?

Will the music industry change?

Will I find $5?

Youtube ain't going away anytime soon. But will check out Tidal just to give them some traffic and encourage further development.

The next big thing is when all the big corporations buy up all these smaller streaming services and make one or two giant streaming services that everyone will use.

YouTube is like the walmart of streaming entertainment.

But boutique providers for bite sized streaming media? No thanks. I don't need my cat videos craft-brewed.

Is this the reason I can't find certain videos on YouTube?

Cable TV spawned this whole idea that paying for services individually would be better than bundled together with **** you don't want, but in the end it's only going to cost the consumer more.

I have no problems with artists trying to take music back. That's basically what this is all about. Remember when MTV had videos and you'd buy music? Yeah, so do they. Useless millennials and the digital age have created an entire society of "give it to me for free." The dude who started Napster, IMHO, is the main blame to all of this.

I have no problem paying for my music or my TV. I don't, however, give a rat's ass about the quality of my music so I'll never even look into something like this. Hell, I've never even looked into Spotify.

TV is another story. I must have my HD!

How many ways can they make people spend money on the same albums over and over. This is why people spend less on music than they did before.

Youtube is too big to simply take down especially with Google owning it. It's integrated into the search engine algorithm. You have to kill Google first. Good luck.
