Don't the older ST's still have the ST in the lower left grille?

TopGear Magazine did performance numbers and 0-62 is a full second faster than the BRZ. That seals it.

I'm very close to doing the same thing. I love my 'stang, but I'm getting tired of the compromises involved for a bunch of power I can rarely use. Like I said, if I could find a base white one with either the blue or smoke Recaros, it'd be in my garage.

The wing on the back, the single, center exhaust, the completely different front fascia?

2013 Ford Focus ST
Baseline 1
226 hp
284 ft/lb

2011 Subaru Impreza WRX
Stock Baseline
223 hp
255 ft/lb

So exactly like I predicted: similar performance to a new WRX, way nicer interior, and better gas mileage.

Interested to see if they can get anything with just a tune. Me loves me some torque steer. No, seriously, I had high hp VWs for years and love wrangling the beast.

From what I've read on the SVT forums, Ford has done a really good job of minimizing it.

I may have to give this a serious look before jumping aboard an FR-S or BRZ

An STI turbo version of the BRZ would be very tempting if they eventually sell one, but I think Subaru should have an STI version of every model they make and sell them in the US.

If the interior and feel of the car is anything like a regular Focus, you will be disappoint.

I mentioned before....and you guys should do this.......drive a Focus. I really, really like the looks of the focus, so test drove one. It is the cheapest, slowest, cheapy, cheap, cheap interior that I've ever been in. Makes an 80's K car seem luxurious. Huge letdown as I like high MPG cars. (heck....I'm now driving a 91 CRX).

My gf has a 2011. The interior blows compared to my slowbox, but it is a quicker car

I thought my friends 2012 was fairly nice inside for what it is
