Default NJ: 2011 WRX Hatch OBP, Only 500 miles - SOLD!

**SOLD**

For sale is a 2011 WRX Hatch. This is not my car. I am selling for someone close to me. The vehicle is in my possession at the moment. Car only has around 500 miles on it and is sitting (not being driven). The owner bought the car for someone else... The car wound up back in their hands and they cannot drive manual. The car was not beat on in any way and was purchased brand new from the dealership. No accidents, no damage, no problems, very clean.

Pics are in the following link:
http://phil.digital-mind.net/11WRX

There is only one minor flaw I can think of and is a scratch on the drivers side door that the dealership used touch up paint on. I can probably buff it out.

VIN: JF1GR7E6XBG823772
Color: Obsiden Black Pearl

Transmission: 5 Speed Manual

Standard & Optional Equipment:
2.5L DOHC Intercooled Turbo, Sport-Tuned Suspension, 17 inch Alloy Aluminum Wheels, 235/45 R17 Summer Performance Tires, Auto Climate Control w/Filtration, AM/FM/CD Audio System, Steering Wheel Mounted Audio Controls, Bluetooth, Aux Jack, Cruise, Power Windows, Locks & Mirrors, Remote Keyless, Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel, Wheel Locks, Impreza Plate Bracket, Center Armrest Ext, Interior Illumination (red), Security Shock Sensor, Rear Bumper Cover.

Warranty:
3 yr./36k basic
5 yr./60k powertrain
5 yr./unld. rust

Price Lowered!! Looking to get $23,000. The price is firm. NO TRADES. Low ballers will be ignored. Feel free to contact me directly. I have sold other cars on this forum before and am up front with all details. Car does have a bank lien on it, however that should not pose any issues as title can be overnighted. My name is Phil. My cell is 201-317-4691 (call or text) or just PM me. Car is located in Hopatcong, New Jersey (NW Jersey).

Yeah, it's brand spanking new with less then 500 miles...did he not test drive it or something?

Seems fishy.

She bought it for her significant other... It wound up back in her hands and she prefers to drive an automatic.

See post above. Nothing fishy about it. The current owner is Female. She is not good at driving manual trans so the car sat for 3 months in her driveway. She was going to trade it in, but decided to try selling it first. I started and drove the car every once in a while for her. Long story, but I do not want to get into the sobby details.

Do not understand how this will go if there is a bank lien on it. If the buyer goes to pick up the car will you go to the bank that day to clear the lien?

Yes, this is done all the time with private sales that have bank loans. The buyer picks up the car (or takes the keys) the same day either a certified check or cash presented for the sale with a written / binding agreement for the sale. Certified checks are preferred since both parties are protected and the check can be written to the bank.

The loan in this case is through Chase Bank, so this makes it easier since branches are everywhere so it eliminates the need for mailing everything back and forth. They will send the title to the current owner and she will then sign it to the buyer so that the car can be registered, etc... If it is a bank loan being used to purchase the car, it is a similar process, just a matter of paperwork and transferring the title directly to the other bank.

Sometimes it can be a PITA but the process typically does not take too long. I have done it so many times its almost embarrassing..

I see I'm sure I'll be purchasing a 2011 WRX by the end of this year and looking around. This would be my first car at 23. Heh, so I'm guessing I would not get a discount for paying all cash in this instance.

Cash / Check... It's all green to the bank Give it time and if the car sits I'm sure the price will adjust downwards some. It is OBO right now, so if you are serious we can talk.

If you provide the bank with a Fedex account number or any of the other prepaid shipping numbers they will be happy to overnight/2 day shipping, whatever the title to the buyer.

I bought a car from NJ and this is what I did...

Met at bank with seller with a certified check for the loan payoff, paid off loan. Called bank with an overnight shipping number, had title the next day. Met up with seller, he signed the title over to me and I gave him a certified check for the remaining amount owed. Registered the car and got plates, car is mine woo hoo!

It's not as complicated as people make it out to be. Is it 100% safe? No, but you shouldn't do your car buying in a back alley from a dude in a trench coat. We met at his house, he delivered the car to mine. It's not hard to find friendly people. Any transaction does have the potential to turn ugly though so just use your best judgement.

GLWS OP!!!

I spoke with the owner... Price lowered to 24k! This is for a brand new WRX with only 500 miles. If I didn't already have too many cars I would jump on this myself.

i actually bought a 2011 wrx from nj and i am located in illinois, the guy didnt have the car payed off and didnt have the money to release the lein on it, so i sent him half of the money he needed to pay the car of while knowing all of his details and bank account numbers so it was safe for both of us, after that it takes about 2-3 weeks for the whole process to take place so he can recieve the lein release paper, after you get the lein relase you go with it to your local currency exchange and have no problems registering your car, but the big thing is trust, and doing it the safe way and taking precautions. idk why nj is does it the stupid way with leins, in illinois all you have is a paper saying your not the owner of the car but the bank is.

How about somewhere in between and if you are serious, I may be able to get her to budge. Believe me, if it wasn't a hatch and I can get it for 22k or some of the other numbers people are throwing at me, I would buy it. She is already losing quite a bit on the car. 23 to 24k on this car is an absolute steal!

Never ran into this issue before, even when I sold cars out of state. The bank here is Chase. All of the dealings are direct with the bank. Any checks, etc... are sent to direct or handing in person (if local) to the bank. They claim they can overnight the title or transfer the title immediately to the other bank or to the current owner, who will sign it over to the new owner if no loan is necessary. Yes there is a trust thing and it would be on both ends. The day the check is in the banks hands, the buyer can take the car home. There will be no cash with this sale.. Only a certified check will be accepted in the banks name.
