Default car will not start

I just got my accessport for my 2011 wrx and installed the AP just fine. I had put the key in the on position and the car recognized it and I immediately flashed a stage1 map onto the car. simple right? well after it flashed it said to put the key in the off position, which I did, and unplugged the OBDII connection from the car. Great. I was so excited to see the difference the AP would make compared the stock. I get back in the car and it won't start. The key goes past the ON position but then the radio turns off and the car does not start. any ideas?

Turn key to on position and wait 10 seconds; then try to start the car.

Problem fixed. I disconnected the negative terminal on the battery and pumped the brakes. Gave it a good minute or so and connected the terminal back. Car rips now.

I think this might be an issue with the '11 wrx and the AP but maybe I missed a step somewhere. Either way I'm happy now.

When you install the AccessPORT, reflash a new map, reset the ECU, or disconnect the car's battery, there's a sequence the ECU performs for testing the drive-by-wire system when you cycle the key to ON. It will prevent the car from starting during this period. As Strainjah said, leave the key at ON for 10 seconds or so. You only have to do that the very first time after performing one of the above procedures.
