Default 08+ 5 speed transmission. Just inspected and refreshed. 1400+shpping/pp

*Please read the entire post*

For sale is a transmission that is a bolt in replacement for 08+ wrx 5 speed.

It will also bolt into any 06/07 wrx with an STi r180
It will also work in 07-09 legacy 2.5 GT and 96-'01 USDM Impreza L/OBS
It can work in a 02-05 with male axles, push clutch, correct slave cylinder and 1.1 center transfer gear or r180

It has a speed sensor installed that is operational with the correct harness.

The transmission is out of my 06 wrx. It has 140K on it with fluid changed regularly. The majority of the miles were highway. 138K were done on the stock clutch. 124k was done on cobb stage 2. The last 2k were break in miles on a new motor. 12k was fp red + all supporting. ~400 whp according to virtual dyno. The tune has very conservative in all aspects especially torque because of the miles that were on the motor and transmission at the time of the major upgrades. Transmission has 15 1/4 mile passes on it, All on the stock clutch.

The case label indicates it is an 06 case and that is correct. I recently purchased a PPG box from a forum member that was in an 08 not knowing at the time of purchase that 06 had a different final drive ratio. Fortunately for me, rather than having to buy a new 08 rear diff, I know a subaru master tech who specializes in transmissions. He took my ring and pinion out of this transmission and swapped it into my new ppg box and put the front ring and pinion of the 08 box in this one. While the box was apart I had him inspect the gears and syncro's to see if there any red flags from the axle seals to the center diff. He told me everything looked great and that he would never guess it had as many miles as it did. It shifted perfectly smooth with no grinds and no funny noises the last time it was used.

Price is 1400 + shipping and PayPal.

ill give ya a free bump because i have a question (that might also help possible purchasers)

its an 06 case with 08 gears or just the 08 final drive?

then how does the 08 gears compare in strength to the 07 and older gears, aswell as to a 6mt?

It's an 06 case and gears with an 08 final drive. I'm not sure on strength. 5 speeds are inherently weaker than 6mt.

If you need an 06 final drive put In send me a pm and let's work something out.
