Outback Sport phase II 2.5 swap into 00 obs

OK, I've looked all over this site, even went into archival data to look for relevant threads, haven't been able to find anything.
I've swapped a phase II sohc 2.5 out of a 00 Leggy outback (auto trans) into a phase II 00 obs.
Had to do some wiring, my bud handled that with style. Things like MAP sensor, etc.
Its thrown some CELs, we've fixed them as they've come up.
The one that keeps coming back is;
p 1722 "Auto transmission diagnosis input signal high output"
We've looked at the wiring diagrams, haven't found anything relevant.
The diagram does indicate that pin 46 has "reverse polarity for MT/AT".
Can anyone shed any light on this?
The car is great, the build includes;
Stage 2 pp on head
delta 1500 regrinds
ported/balanced intake and throttle body
SRS 30 reflash
obx el headers

I've spent some time and money to make this thing move a little.
I think its cool because its a burly N/A build, not many like that around.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Does anyone know the pin on the obs harness that controls MT versus AT?
I've read some instnances where peeps get AT cels, and changed the way that a pin(s) are set up, but haven't been able to find a thread/post that says which pin to change. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The pin you need to locate is called "M/T A/T identifier". If you have a Haynes or Chiltons manual, it will tell you what pin to ground.

I am confused though, your car is auto or M/T? Did you swap to a M/T?
