AP install problem

I'm trying to install the sub003 AP on a 2011 wrx.
I have done all of the necessary steps prior to plugging in the accessport.
When i click "install" on the accessport, it verifies the car, and then it makes me choose a map. I choose a map. It then says "cycle key", and I do so. Immediatly after I turn the key back on and press ok, it says " error; cannot connect to ecu please check cable". It doesn't install itself. It goes straight to choose map.

I have tried redoing everything and starting over multiple times with no luck.
I have plugged the green connectors in, and I have also tried it with them disconnected.
Any help would be appreciated.

This is probably best to diagnose over the phone. Give one of our tech guys a call at 866-922-3059.

You do not need to connect any diagnostic connectors for any of the cars supported by SUB-003. When called for, the key should be in the ON position with the engine not running.
