Default Vehicle Speed Sensor problems auto to manual swap

i am buttoning the last bit of wiring up on my auto to manual swap on my 1999 impreza wagon. in all the write ups it says to just swap the auto vss to the manual trans. the problem im having is the auto has 3 separate 2 wire vss and the manual only has one 3 wire. i have no idea what to do. do i need to get a 2 wire manual sensor and wire it in place of one of the auto sensors or am i sol

The only VSS you use is the front one, the rear one is what the TCU looks at to choose the proper torque to the rear wheels, once the ECU knows that it's hooked to a M/T, it won't care a bit about the TCU. All you have to do is swap your A/T VSS into the M/T tranny, that's what I did and I haven't had any problems.

alright i will have to take another look but it looks like the manual one is threaded and actually threads into the trans where the auto one looks like it bolts in
