Are you sure that you ordered a Rear under spoiler? I don't see that option unless you really mean the Strake Sport (SCN) which is small spoiler in from of the rear wheels.

Might also consider the remote start - I know it gets cold and nasty in PA at times. I have one in my '08 OBS and it is well worth the money on those cold and Sleety days.

Might consider splash guards if you are not planning on getting non-oem ones. Otherwise, can't think of anything.

Default subwoofer

Impreza Sport Premium 5 door
Dark Grey Metallic (should be sick with the Gunmetal 17s)
CVT
Remote Start
Mud guards

$500 in accessories which with I will get:
Cross bars on the roof
All weather mats
cargo mat
(maybe) homelink mirror
(maybe) subwoofer

I heard the new sub will be a 10" Kicker @ 100w RMS. True? Also, has anyone had experience with Subaru factory subs? Are they any good? Are Imprezas typically pre-wired for subs, and if they are, is it proprietary or standard cabling? Is it molded to fit in the tailgate? I want a sub, but I'm not sure which way to go.

Not sure about wiring, etc..; However, do not that the sub is places behind the rear seat on the driver's side and not the tailgate. I suspect it is the same unit sold for the current Impreza, which is also made by Kicker - 100watts with a self contained amplifier.

We just got our preordered 2012 impreza sport last Saturday. We absolutely love the car.

When the car arrived at the dealer last Wednesday they informed us that they would be replacing the brake systems master cylinder. When we test drove the car everything seemed great.

Well just 2 days later the brakes started acting up and we had a "brake" notification on the gauge cluster popping up randomly. 4 days later the brakes are gone, completely shot, and I noticed we had lost pretty much all the brake fluid. So the car has 230 miles and has already had to be towed back to the dealer (AAA)!

My concern is that this is going back to the original problem that Subaru had when the cars first got to the port. However it could have been an installation error on my dealers service department. I was wondering if anyone else has had problems with there brakes on the new 2012 impreza, even after they so called "problem" was supposed to be fixed with a new master cylinder?

I apologize for this being slightly off topic but it does pertain to the newest impreza:/

I was a member here back in 2000 when I had a 2.5RS - out of curiosity I tried my old login and it worked . I've been in the VW world since then (I currently have a 2010 Golf TDI) but the new Impreza has really come a long way.

Anyway, I have a 2012 2.0i Sport Premium with CVT in Ice Silver Metallic coming soon. It will be replacing my wife's current 2008 VW Jetta Wolfsburg. We're looking forward to picking it up.

I've been seeing mention of this $500 coupon for accessories from Subaru around on this forum - what do I have to do to get one? Google isn't turning up anything on any incentives that I can see.

It was a pre-order deal since they knew we would have to wait for the car. Technically, the dealers weren't allowed to print anything about it; they could tell you though if you came in during the pre-order period. My guess is they quit offering it once cars starting rolling in, but I'm not sure - others are probably more knowledgeable on that.

You're correct, it is no longer an incentive. It was part of the Love is Worth the Wait promotion for pre-orders placed from August - Oct. 31st.

Default Just got my 2012 Impreza Limited

Just drove it off the lot today:
2012 Limited 2.0i (ice silver)
CVT
All Weather option

This car absolutely rocks!
Traded in our trusty 2001 Forester
It drives great, plenty of power, interior room is amazing, visibility is excellent, transmission is so smooth and the gas mileage is awesome for Suby!
If anyone is thinking about an upgrade, I would highly recommend it. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Update: bought a 2.0i Premium 5-door w/CVT in Pearl White for my mother.

Options:
· All-Weather Package (heated seats, front windshield wiper lands, exterior mirrors; leather shift knob and leather steering wheel)
· Alloy Wheel Package
· Moonroof

Accessories:
· Popular Package #1 (clear bumper applique, rear cargo floor mat, auto-dimming homelink rearview mirror)

I plan to get a set of RallyArmor mudflaps and WeatherTech DigitalFit floor mats once they're available for the 2012MY.

It might be too soon to ask, but has anyone looked into simple power upgrades for the '12 Impreza? I have a Sport on order, love the higher gas mileage numbers, and I'm not looking to turn it into a turbo car. My only concern is a lack lower end torque/hp relative to the Maxima I'm driving now. I'm sure I'd get used to the Subie, though.

The 2L motor in this car has been used in other models (Forester?), correct? Possibly there are some aftermarket parts out there that will fit up already.

This engine (2.0i) is relatively new to Suby for 2012. As explained to me, it is the basic Boxer layout of the 2.5 in the other models (Legacy, Forrester) but has an improved valve train, CVT and some additional features that give it much better gas mileage than the standard 2.5 but still plenty of power. Based on this, not sure if there is much out there now for aftermarket improvements, but honestly, I haven't checked and don't really know. Anybody know?
