Default 2011 WRX Stage 2 HWG Cobb Map

This is what you can run when you are stage 2 running the hwg map in a 2011 WRX with the following mods and the ap set to launch control at 5200.

Event: 1/4 mile
Location: Cecil County Drag Strip, Cecil County, MD
Ambient Temp: 50 degrees give or take 5
Elevation: no idea I'd say 100-200
Weather: cool-cold
Track and Conditions: asphalt, clean, flat
Tires: oem Dunlop direzza sports i think

Car: 2011 WRX
Tuner: Cobb stage 2 HWG map
Dyno Info: brand
Transmission: 5spd factory gear set.
Gear: 1-4 (didnt touch 5th)
Target Boost: 18.5psi
Fuel: 93
Engine/Power Modifications: AEM CAI...Invidia catless DP, Cobb AP, SPT Catback (not a true 3" btw but helps with boost creep when running a catless dp)
Driveline Modifications: SPT shorty shift

Next week I think I will go back to the track with a helmet and get a better launch. Don't mind the last slip. They told me after the second run that I needed a helmet to keep racing. Payed for my gf to run and she didn't go yet so let her go, the officials yelled at her and eventually let her go but she was so worried that they would just ban the car from the track that she didn't push it like I told her to do anyway. Oh well.

Not sure. The guy that showed it to me when I was at the track had a '10 wrx but blew the motor and I think he said it was a new feature on the AP so I'm guessing since the beginning of 2011 if you got one then you have that feature. Yeah the launch control can be used with all maps. It just changes ur redline when at a stand still so that you don't have to sit there trying to balance ur rpms to get that perfect launch rpm. You should try it out if you have it. It's a great feature.

Sucks our cars are so heavy, that kinda power and traction would normally get high 11's with less weight. Oh well lol still fun as hell to drive!

I never took the wheel and tire out of the trunk or took the seats out like the rest of everyone out there. Seems like everyone else, honda, nissan etc takes their **** out. We are 4 door cars with that amount of power pulling 12s with only $1500 at the most of parts. You guys should be psyched! I'm real happy with the way it performs. I had a z and a rsx-s before I got this car and neither of those responded to modifications as well as this car does.

Nice time! (But enjoy shopping for a new transmission if you keep using launch control!)

Not planning on using it a lot lol. I don't really like going to the track. Just wanted to see what it would run. Can you give us some info on what ur talking about? Who you know that has used it and has caused a problem for their cars? Post some links please.

When I was at the track one of the guys I was talking to went through 4 transmissions on his 09 before he got rid of it and got a new mustang gt.

The drivers are typically the issue not the transmission. I ran an 02 5-speed with 345 ft lbs at the wheels and never had a problem.

^^Hahaha damn, I bet it does.. wonder what a cutout would sound like on our cars? I launched my car last night from a light and my exhaust blasted some shots off ha, absolutely scared the **** out of me and still not used to it! If I could explain the noise my car makes it would be a AK47 shot at it's loudest back fire and a 9mm at it's quietest backfire.. The intake/bpv sounds like wind blowing through a small hole in the side of a building and the engine sounds like it's trying to eat the pavement in front of me

Haha. Yea for sure. I got the Cobb SR on mine with a forge bpv and that's exactly what it sounds like. There's an AMR Turbo back system that 3 inches and splits into 2 pipes right after the dp. Its rated up to 1000 HP. Wonder what that sounds like compared to the exhausts we have now. I am putting a Blouch dom 3 on mine in spring and I was thinking about switching to the AMR.

Only thing to say is damn! ha, I like the sound of my exhaust, it's loud when I want it and quite when I want it so it's loud enough in my eyes ha even though it's not a true 3"
