Yeah, we moved on July 20. I am still working out my notice here in WV but I will be back for good this weekend(Friday evening). I really like Hickory, most of the people we have met so far have been very nice. We are in NE Hickory not far from 127. It's about 8 minutes from the interstate (40). My wife starts teaching this week at Bethlahem Elem.

I met a bunch of guys at the Bele-Char auto cross, great group of guys! I have to get into auto-X! As soon as I can find a job and get a few mods done(suspension, brakes, tires) I will be all over it!

Is anybody going the the auto-X this weekend?, i think it's in Sparta?

Dave

I saw a couple of White RS's while I was there. Didn't get a chance to meet you though...

Hope to see you out at some later events. You don't need a suspension or mods to autox, but it helps. Just go out and have fun, then figure out what you want to do to your car.

There is also the 24 hour autox in Charlotte at the end of the month if you don't feel like driving down to Spartanburg.

Hey wild Dave, it was great to meet you at Bele Chere and see you posting on here too. Glad you like Hickory and maybe I'll see you at another event sometime soon.

Spartanburg isn't TOO far, really. We used to drive down there all the time for concerts at Ground Zero and the Magnolia Street Pub. It's about an hour's drive from Gastonia... and Hickory is about 45 minutes from Gastonia.

It's just a long boring drive with nothing to see except cheesy strip joints, gambling parlors, outlet stores, and the world's largest ass... errr... peach.

www.soloii.com

This lists all 4 clubs in the state of NC. Kershaw is put on by the CCR region of the SCCA.

Would probably be a good event to go spectate, however I believe there are restrictions on admissions. I'll let the Solo2 chair explain though.

*hint* Steven....

I am not complaining, but $45 for one day seems kind of pricey. Why is this event so expensive? I think maybe I will spectate at this event too then try the Ashville Nite auto-x.

I think it's because it's a real track instead of a parking lot turned into one
