when was the last time you heard of a 2.0 spitting a ring land...
theres 12 old 2.0 blocks here not one of them has a cracked ringland, all bearings. 2,0 hardly every crack ringlands.I love the power of 2.0 and 2.2. looks great. cant wait to get my 2.2 with twinscroll 20gxt going. |

While I agree with you 100% that rod bearings typically give way on the 2.0L motors (thats what happened to my motor), they can have ringland failures as well (dad's motor- 1 day after mine kicked the bucket )![]() ![]() |

Very nice! Like to see when the bugs get up on hp with stock longblocks. I'm at 147k miles stock longblock, been running 300+ hp for about 90k. re-tuned last year and running 359whp 327ft/lb tq. On a 20g!

Not saying that your car isn't fast and fun, but your absolute WHP on a Dynapack is not a good benchmark. Did you get a stock baseline on the same dyno? On a Dynapack I bet your stock engine would pull close to 200whp. Most stock Ej205s on a Dynodynamics pull ~160whp.
