Angry Another one bites the dust (98 head gasket)

My 98RS let go of its headgasket. 83000 miles and I have a blown head gasket as compaired to my Explorer with 146000 miles w/o a problem. How much do these cost to fix roughly?

More than you are going to like.

I think the part is about $50 and the labor is in the area of 7 hours.

This is pesimistic but realistic.

Sorry to hear this.

You might as well buy a set of cams to go with your head gasget. You need a new HG when you install cams and you might as well put the cams in when you have the engine apart. If you have the extra cash that is.
