So are there any good Headers out there besides Borla that don't cost over $1000?

So far MRT shows most HP output and borla is really good with boxer engine

Well while I am not being clear as of what you want to know, I'll just say if you HP gain go with MRT but kinda costly and if you want sound then get Borla

So Borla really doesn't give any performance gain? Cause I don't care about noise. In fact, I prefer quiet.

ImprezaTs: Although Im not necessarily disputing what you say, did that include the tech works engineering header? I think this is by far the best design out right now.

At $629, that's a little pricey for me. I think I like the MRT. It's only like $350 or someting at vividracing.com.

Pricey? Doesnt seem so bad to me. I will compare that to saying regular milk is too pricey, Ill just get powdered instead.

ciper - you must take into account that "best" is only relative to what application it'll be used on. The design of that header is for max power up top. Ie: head work, cam work, hi-comp pistons.

Ippon - Do you have a cat-back and hi-flow cat section already? Depending on where you live and many other factors, the choices you have range from:

Borla + Random Tech cat = ~$650-$750US (18-20GSS)
MRT header + custom cat section = $500-$750 (mild steel)
TWE header + TWE cat section = $868US (mild steel)
iON/Brullen header system (header + hiflow cat) = $949US (16G T304 SS)

If you don't have a cat-back already, the full iON/Brullen header-back system is something you may want to consider.

Default iON/Brullen Header...

I currently have the Brullen Headers, Hiflow and Catback. I love it. Make sure if you want a quiet sound you get the Muffler in quiet. It doesn't sound rice at all, but it is a little loud. You can visit subaruplanet.com this is where I purchased my exhaust system. Hope this helps...

GTBUY,

I thought vividracing.com is selling the MRT header for
$240 without cat, $350 with cat?
http://www.vividracing.com/prod_gc8manifold.php

please correct me if I'm wrong, but i don't want another "HELLO AND WELCOME TO LAST WEEK"

yuusaku - not sure if those are updated. But the range I gave was for a custom cat. MRT's cats are not exactly very reliable from several different sources. It'd probably be a good idea to go with another brand of cats if someone was to get the MRT set-up. You'll also notice that you'll be getting the P0420 code w/ the MRT or Borla etc.

Again, it all boils down you get what you pay for, please do your homework, as it'll yield results which are much more satisifying or at least more suitable to your application.

All in all Which one would be the best header?(money and Power), I have the Borla already sounds great!!! but as I've read not much power gain...Bruelen Too expensive, I'm seriuosly considering the Tech work engineer header with it's high flow, anyone has that setup??? what would you say it's trong points are?

The TWE header is by far the best system on the market, reading some of these posts gives me a good chuckle. "It's only mild steel", seems to me they offer a life time warranty as well as the header is coated. "designed for high rpm use" (at least its designed) as for only high end use, that is where these cars need the most help. Doesn't seem to loose much down low(mind you my engine is quite modified but still has the stock rev limiter and I have the large pipe header & 2.5" exhaust).
I like Cider's analogy seems like very few people like real milk, best and cheapest rarely go together.
