Default STi swap help

I just bought a wrecked 05 STi, to do my swap with. It was a friend of mine that sold it too me and it only has 43,000 miles on it. Everything is in great shape and I inspected before purchasing. I have a EJ255 block in my wrx right now. I was planning on just swapping all of the 05 into my wrx. Before I start is there any fitment issues or custom modifications required to complete the swap, or it just direct replacement and no modifications needed? Thanks

if you have a complete STi, the swap is straight forward if sedan to sedan. front A-arms are diff between sedans and wagons. otherwise use everything STI and have fun!

Am I understanding that you have to use the donor STi harness? It's seeming like unless you're just beefing internals of the same engine series, you have to at least splice some of the harness.
