Default my order

Ordered feb 20th sti sedan satin white pearl limited with nav, short throw and compass mirror. Add on's boost gauge, extended console, wheel locks and side trim (door ding) molding. Thanks to Subaru giving me a 500 dollar gift for the wait and maybe because this is my 5th subaru in 5 years. (wife had tribeca now legacy r).

von 2-4 days
Vin March 13th
ETA April 9th

Side Note: Couldn't add boost gauge to order a dealer. Come to find out when I ordered it online Subaru has a full technical hold on the gauges due to an issue (out of stock hold). ETA for that to get resolved???

I can't wait for my car. I had a 2005 and loved it. I am concerned about the ringland issue and lean mapping i have read about, but I don't know how valid of a concern this is per number sold vs. effected. Any feedback is encouraged (stage 1 or not etc).

I cannot believe the connectivity to the car you feel it is simply amazing. It is not nearly as quick as my cobra but man the ride is just awesome.

So this had:
6MT Short Throw
Mirror/compass
6MT duracon black sifter.

Impressions: I wish it had the BBS wheels and possibly the SPT exhaust.
And a moon roof.

Responses: Dealer said he would put a moon roof in with buttons etc..for 1K
and he would put an exhaust on for 1k including labor. Wheels I bet cost me 2K.

Sticker with dealer markup was 37,125. He is selling it to me for 34k. I love the internet managers...he just whipped out the dealer invoice and said "OK 500 over dealer invoice its yours".

So I love the car and we only have like 3 in the state right now in Oregon. I love the black STI in Vancouver, WA but it is quite far away.

8 week wait might suck...
Totally amazed they had one in stock for a test drive.

Just a heads up, the SPT exhaust for the 5-door is only $450 at invoice. If you're comfortable installing it yourself, it may be better to just get it afterwards. $550 for labor is a good chunk of change.

New to the forum and just placed my ordered today. I am getting a 2012 WRX Sedan in WRB.

I already got the VON number and on my order form it said the car was already in dealer's pipeline. Not sure what that means but I was given an ETA of next month of arrival.

So sometime in April I will get a clearer ETA from the dealership. Can't wait for its arrival!

Consider yourself one of the lucky ones. I think it means the dealer was already expecting one to come in in April. You just happened to order on
e with the same specs. Essentially, you reserved a car that was already ordered.

Congrats.

LOL

We took it for a rather long test drive.
I"m picking it up tomorrow

2012 Ice Silver WRX STI
6MT Short throw
Duracon shift knob
Rear view mirror/compass

Adding:
Moonroof

Price: 35k

I'm happy.

The other option was a black WRX STI Limited with

6MT Short throw
1B Sports Package
SPT Exhaust

They want 40k

So what do you think?

I don't like the stocks on 12 sti base. Who knows maybe it looks better in person. Or maybe they'll grow on me. But I am planning on ordering some decent rims before my car comes in though. At least dealer would swap my headlights. Not a fan of the chrome either.

I think I'd be weary of how exactly they're going to "add" a moonroof...

I asked the dealer he said "we have been using them for years...I have had them do over a hundred. They are guaranteed for life and match the stock one."

He said it was a national company what ever that means. But yeah I asked him that as well. Told him I was worried about haphazardly tearing into the roof. And how would that affect the structural integrity of the roof etc.

I mean Subaru does it on the limited editions so ....hmmm not sure if they bolster anything when they do that.

Anyone know?

Aftermarket roof can sometimes mean aftermarket leaks. Obviously this isn't always the case but i personally wouldn't ever add an aftermarket sunroof.

The OEM moonroof tucks itself under the roof and uses a different headliner. I don't how that would be possible with an aftermarket one because they certainly won't use a new headliner. Most aftermarket moonroofs tilt up and slide above the roof, making it look really odd. I would definitely look at pictures of one of these aftermarket roofs before proceeding with the order.
