No VIN as of last week. I saw for my own eyes the computer said "June". I am the only WRX coming to the lot. Since I ordered in March, I better not be pushed of till July! Any later and I might as well have held out for 2013.

Car: 2012 swp sti hatch - side moldings, boost gauge, short throw. (On order for June 15th) - lower chassis brace, under seat sub/amp combo, window weather guards, shifter bushing and rear bumper cover.

Ordered : 4/14/12
VIN: 5/25/12
PORT: 6/6/12
ETA: 6/15/12
Delivery: 6/9/12
Pick up: 6/9/12

Finally joining the subie family once again. The wait wasn't to long but it sure did suck.

Congrats guys!

Looks like I'll have mine by Friday! I was told Saturday that it should be in today, but that wasn't enough time for me get everything sorted since I won't be financing through the dealer. Unfortunately with my schedule, that means I have to wait until Friday But knowing I have an actual pick up date is pretty nice and I have plenty of time to get things done in preparation.

For the rest of you guys, I hope they come in soon. Some of you have waited faaaaaar too long.

I have been using shipfinder.co. A known Subaru vehicle carrier is the Dionysos Leader, but it is nowhere near by currently. A ship just offloaded in Portland on Saturday, and it is the Heijin. I have no idea if my car was on it yet though. A ship that is headed your way is the NOCC Caspian. Again, no idea if it carries Subies or not.

Anyone else know of any ships headed this way?

Excuse the crappy cell phone pics. Picked her up last Tuesday. Definitely still fun under 4k, though I am guilty of 5k once. The power really levels out anyway above 4k, so you're not missing a whole lot. Taking things to Stage II w/ SF Intake is a completely different story to look forward to though; you're at about 100% of the stock power by ~3.5k, and it goes up another 70hp after that! 0_0

35% tint all around. (Didn't want rears darker than the fronts, looks dumb when people do that...)

Subaru of America gave me a voucher number for $250 of accessories after my umpteenth polite call to their HQ in Connecticut. Just started week#13. You have to buy the goodies, send a rebate number to Subaru (with a copy of dealer receipt I'm assuming), you get $250 back. I told my salesman to start thinking about the goodies he wants to give me for the wait (" Yeeaahh, you do deserve something for your patience: I'll put my thinking cap on") Not holding my breath there. I'm also joining Costco for $55 to get that $500 rebate (wtf!!) So check into that. $500'll buy you some goodies. That's a payment and insurance for a month, anyways! I was just told by SOA rep that I still have a revised "sometime in June" (was originally May) delivery time, with no hint that it's going to be pushed further out. He said he could see that it made the dealer's allocation, but that there was no VIN. He didn't want to go into what allocation meant, that I should call the dealer (that's the call I usually make mid-week, to pester, but not wear out my welcome ). Does anyone know what the circumstances for my order being allocated but no VIN: that the order takes one of the dealer's allocated slots? That it's come off the assembly line? That it's on the boat? Or that they could still be mining the ore?

Interesting info. Sunday started my week 13. What did you tell/ask SoA to get the $250? Was it Amy? How does the CostCo thing work? I joined there once years ago to buy a ladder that was cheaper including the membership fee, i'd consider that again for $500. It would be nice to get some free mats, side body molding, and a rear bumper cover to protect my baby! She will be taking the abuse of daily driving and all!

BigVox,

Just an FYI, I checked with Costco on this program (via phone and online) and there is a restriction on STis and WRX... see below from the Subaru/Costco program page:

"Offer excludes all BRZ and Impreza WRX and WRX STI trim levels."

My eta is June 18th. I called my salsewoman today and she said still same eta. I called Soa and they said it is in transit to dealership. Now I asked Soa if that means it has left port and he said he didn't know, just that it is in transit to dealership. Does that make any sense? Is there no history to order status maybe?

It was $340 for the whole car, including a 5" sunstrip. Actual tint is Formula One LLumar. Portland Tint did the work, and they did a phenomenal job on it. Very impressive.

Heard. The bad news is I was told by another forum member that they were pretty sure you have to be a member of Costco before you order your car to get the money. But what the heck. I'm gonna try it anyway. Weirder things happen. As for SOA, I didn't say anything to the fellow, he just said, well how about a voucher for $250. I said, all right, dude, sounds great! But I bet you wouldn't even have to hint. Just say, hey, I've been waiting like every other person whose called you today (Ha, Ha...Yeah, they've been calling...) and someone else told me they got a rebate voucher for accessories. Can I get that, too? I bet that'd work. Use the Force, Luke.

BJ's also has a program and it depends on the dealer if the WRX or STi are included. That's actually how I found my dealer. But it didn't work like a rebate or anything like that. Basically, when you buy the car, you do it at the dealer, but through BJ's. Similar to how the Subaru VIP program works, you walk in, get the BJ's price of the car, and you can stop haggling there. My dealer in CT was offering all new Subarus at $450 under invoice (each dealer has different pricing, some are $2-300 ABOVE invoice). You could stop there (I didn't ) and that's a decent deal. I can't speak for Costco, though.
