Default Alarm systems

Hi everyone!

I'm new to the Subaru life. I used to have a 2008 tC and got bored quickly so I recently purchased a 2012 limited WRX hatch and I love it!!! but as we all know this car is much nicer than my scion and the insurance is killing me. I was wondering if anyone knew of any nice alarm systems for the WRX. Your input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!

Is there some alarm to insurance correlation here? Just get any alarm...none are foolproof and we have an entire forum dedicated to alarms and other electronics here.

Thanks! And when I looked into insurance companies, they all asked what kind of alarm system that I had so I just figured that it affected insurance

Yeah it does affect insurance, by about a dollar or so, not a big discount really.

Make judgements based on fact, not assumptions as an alarm will likely save you 9 cents a year vs. an alarm which can run upwards of $500.

If anyone remembers the start of Robocop 2 will know the alarm to get.

First off Welcome,

Anything DEI will be good, and insurance is just high on these cars in general no matter how you slice it. lol. Even with all the safety features they offer. Best advice would be to take a defensive driving course 30% off your ENTIRE quote. As oppose to spending 200 plus labor for an alarm system. If they do ask, just tell them you have a VIPER with a shock and motion sensor lol.

Do what I did. Sold my 04 wrx for an 05 Saabaru. $300 cheaper insurance even though it's practically the same car :P
