Default AcessPort Question

Hypothetically you have AccessPort stage 1 installed in a 2011 WRX. Then say Subaru issues a recall and part of the recall would be to upload new information into the ecu (IE like a update to cold start). would the stage 1 be deleted and over written by new subaru update. This is all hypothetic and am trying to figure out if this is possible and something that would be an issue for a tune.

With the AccessPORT version 2 installed, the dealer would be unable to overwrite the Cobb map (their process of flashing the ECU would fail). If, however, you uninstalled the AccessPORT before going to the dealer, the dealer would then be able to update the ECU. Upon re-installing the AccessPORT that new update would be backed-up by the AP and the Cobb tune would replace it. When you uninstalled again, the new factory update would be restored.

Got it thanks. So you answered my question. The silly subaru tech at the dealership will not be able to mess up my tune.
