Default 2002 WRX TGV's Finally Deleted!! Woo! Can do yours too!!

Alright guys so I have had my car for a little over 3 years now and it currently has 101k miles. Its a white bugeye with full top speed turbo back exhaust. I also have a gt spec gen 2 header and up pipe. I have an Avo short shifter,a samco turbo inlet, intake, and two aftermarket GFB pulleys. Oh and I have a grimmspeed EBC. I don't think I'm forgetting anything but I just did my TGV deletes. My dad did the metal work for me (He's the *****!!) and it turned out perfect. I am so happy with it! I had to send them to my dad because I'm in college down at U of O in Eugene. Anyways my car didn't run for 3 weeks...it was terrible. I got it all together last night and got the codes cleared for free at my friends local shop. It feels great, feels more responsive and like it has some more throat. I'm loving it and I would definitely recommend it to any suby owner. I couldn't believe how much air block there is there...insane on a turbo'd vehicle....dumb. Can't wait to get out of class and drive =D !!!

i think that's sweet with the tgv deletes, doing them yourself and all. what would you rate your mechanical abilities at?

Are you my long lost bro? Aspen White 02 WRX in college, similar mods, had the car for the same time, same miles, and dad is going to do the metal work for my TGV delete.

Are you in school for civil engineering? If so, <3.

I would say, on a 1-10 scale, with 1 being I don't feel comfortable changing my battery but I feel comfortable checking oil, and the other fluids necessary...maybe I can change a tire...and 10 being "what is it that needs to be done? I am 98% confident I have the skills." I would place myself somewhere around a 4 or so. I'm not afraid to take my engine half way apart and I only try to touch and play with things that I really know. Though, that's the beauty of it, with a bit of taught knowledge from my dad, absolutely no professional mechanical education, and the confidence to do everything carefully and slowly...you can just push yourself on your abilities. When I do certain larger projects, like my timing belt for example, I wouldn't do it without my brother or my dad there. I've just never been there, and they know more than me. I bet with enough reading and time I could have probably done it myself. I did quite a bit of the work on that job, but they helped. Anyways yeah to answer, around a 4 or so. I'm no genius, but I'm not afraid to take ***** apart...I thrive on that ish=P

I will be getting a tune soon, that's for sure. I wouldn't say I've noticed more negative than positive post TGV deletes, it just idles a little funny from time to time but other than that nothing crazy or out of the ordinary. Do you by chance have a before and after Dyno? mmmmm interesting. I'm very curious. Talk to you soon!

Hahahahaha that's funny stuff right there. I am not going to school for that, I'm in Eugene, OR going to the Lundquist College of Business at U of O. Pretty wild stuff. What kind of wheels do you have on your car? Oh and I have a wingless trunk btw. I'm going to take pics soon, but I'd like to get my other set of wheels on first. I have a mint set of 04 STi BBS' that are in perfect condition, they maybe experienced 3k easy miles last summer and then I got a flat...bummer. Anyways, I've had them sitting for a while, and I cleaned em up real well. I hate seeing them on my floor everyday, in my room...because I'm in College, and I'm broke, and have a small apartment...what can a guy do? Anyways, I had them powdercoated Tiget Drylac Athersite Grey (&spelling_notsure), it's basically a gunmetal with a really nice metalic with little flakes that sparkle in certain directions of sunlight. It's really awesome when they're all cleaned up because they can look like different colors at different angles. Anyways, send me a few pics! Bugeye FTW!!! =P
