Default Code P0605 fix, had a reflashing go unsuccessful 04 Sti

I thought someday someone else might have this problem, so I am posting this up to help them!

I reflashed my 04 sti with my AP, went through the whole green connector procedure, flash went well according to the AP.

Started car up, gas pedal didnt effect rpm past 2000 rpm, car was idleing very lean according to my uego, and I had Check engine light for code P0605 "Read only memory error ROM error"

I called my local tuner, I was stranded at a gas station, he stopped by with a tactrix cable and somesort of open source software on his computer. We continued to unmarry my AP, took the tactrix cable and reflashed the car with the stock 04 sti map, then re-installed the access port and flashed the correct tune for my car. Car started and operated normally.

Definatly a headache, but it got me out of sending the ecu into cobb or subaru!!!
