Default Rev matching in scope with AP?

Does the AP have the functionality in scope to, at any point, be able to develop a rev matching function when downshifting, similar to that of a 370z? Would the logic be able to detect if you were in a higher gear, as soon as sensing you went into a lower gear, rev match before clutch is engaged?

If it does, Cobb, you'd be my hero.

I don't really know if an ecu would be able to detect and react to you pushing in the clutch and selecting a lower gear to rev-match in time...

The car would essentially have from the time that you select the lower gear(with the clutch already engaged) until the clutch begins to disengage to rev. That seems like tenths of a second, if that. I suggest learning heel-toe or side-foot method.

I do currently rev match manually using heel-toe, but it's difficult in all but my puma's so I generally resort to just blipping before going for the brake. After seeing it in the 370z I was just thinking, you know, they are managing to do it...why couldn't we?

It wouldn't even have to detect you downshifting, it could just keep the throttle up for the first 2 seconds after you put in the clutch, since it shouldn't take that long to shift, and if you don't reengage the clutch in that time it would let the engine idle down as normal.

There are a lot of different hacks that would be possible for the Subaru ECU. We are currently working on speed density for the 2.5L turbo Subarus. Beyond that, we have not made any decisions on any future improvements.
