It got pretty funny in the other thread they made. I got no clue what scared bugeyesubie2002 off, but that shop is full of contradictions. Basically there rule of thumb is, if it's not them that did it. It's pretty much inferior and dumb. They constantly refer to themselves being in the race industry and that they want the stance community to recognize that they "racers" are above them. However they don't actually race, so idk how they are part of the race community.

Kudos Blaze, kudos. I was going to issue them an LS1 vs. rotary challenge but it looks as if I'd be wasting my time.

if you look at his facebook he compares his standing up against the stance community to admit they are beneath him, as the struggle of rosa parks standing up for racial equality.

so it's not really worth it to challenge these people or argue over the internet with points like that.

I know that you probably know this, but I worked in an exhaust shop for a couple of years and have seen many a rotary with aftermarket cats almost or actually burst into flames. I don't know if you plan on running a cat, but I would hate to see a subaruB.Q.

Here is my $.02 on this project. I have owned 7 rotary powered cars and, there was a time when I refused to drive anything else. I don't know any other engine more than I know rotaries. My opinion on this matter is practically unbiased though. Hear me out. Chevy LS motors are great. They make big power, and they are reliable. They sound really cool with free flowing exhaust, and you can use one to turn practically any car into a fire breathing monster by simply swapping one in. However, the people that swear by doing this (detroit's big three included) have the car modifying mindset that using a 3-ton boulder for a paper weight is a good idea. Is the LS a great swap candidate? Yes. Is it overkill? Absolutely. Here are some points about the rotary. They are hand assembled to very close tolerances. They have the precision and smoothness of a Seiko watch under your hood. Speedsource runs RX-8's right along side V8 powered Camaro's and Porsche 911s. The rotary powered 787B is the ONLY Japanese car ever to win at 24h Lemans. Hows that for reliability? They have 3 moving parts, and because of high exhaust energy, they are the perfect turbo candidate. Change your oil and coolant religiously and they will run for 200k miles or more. Here are some facts for you all. It is a precision engine. Treat it well and it will last. Treat it badly and it will blow on you very quickly. Alot of what kills a rotary is USDM requirements for emissions and the pisswater that we call gas that is sold here. I think swapping one into a Subaru chassis is a great idea. It is a good piece of modern technology to compliment the modern technology that goes into Subaru's AWD system. It would make the car have great weight distribution. Don't overheat it, and don't do something to induce detonation, and you can drive the piss out of it everyday for many years. I applaud you for wanting to do something different... rather than just attempting to have the biggest balls on your block. Have any of you ever heard a 250hp bridgeported n/a 13b? Youtube it. It defines a "pissed off" engine.
