I think if you played your cards right you could upgrade all four corners of your WRX with slightly used Brembo's for the same cost as just the front ST40's. Both options have their pros and cons, you would have to judge what your going for.

If you really shop around...you can do this for CHEAP.

Started looking like this...

Ended looking like this...

Take your time and watch the classifieds here...on IWSTI and other Subaru boards. You also have to be willing to do the work yourself and not judge a book by its cover. These brakes were barely even used, but the coating and lack of cleaning made them look horrible. That generally equals a better price. I got all 4 with 4 rotors and lines for incredibly cheap.

Will the 3G STI calipers clear the stock 17" WRX wheels?

brackets for the 04-07 rear calipers will make upgrading for the 08+ so much easier.

Here's how my calipers came out, The STI rotors I purchased only had 15,000 miles so I had them turned and redrilled to 5x100 at a local machine shop.

^^Those look amazing painted lime green! I like the way you went with them. I've noticed people went with different versions of the brembo logos. Which way did you use yellow_feva, stencils or vinyl decals before the clear coat?

yellow* - you and i had very similar ideas for our 3Gs, haha. i powdercoated them, though.

definitely a worthwhile mod, both in braking feel (i also swapped over to an 04 wrx master cylinder) and aesthetics.

As of right now, someone has dibs on them. I've given him until the end of May to come up with the money. If he decides he doesn't want them or just can't come up with the money by then I'll post them up for sale.
