Default MD front license plate law

Anyone have the balls to ditch their front plate yet? Has the bill been turned into a law yet? I'm debating whether to get a GS plate relocation but if I don't need to run a front plate, I'll just get a plate delete and call it a day.

I never put a front plate on my Acura and never had any problem with the law. I didn't have anything that really said "hey, pull me over!" aside from that (no loud exhaust or super dark tint, no popping Vtec every****ingwhere etc), so that may have had something to do with it, but normally around the Baltimore area it wasn't a problem.

I did keep it in the pocket on the back of my passenger seat just incase though.

Even if the law had passed you would still need a tag. The law was sponsored by / for the exotic car crowed. Those few cars out there that were designed not to have a front tag. All massed produced cars sold in the US are designed to have a front tag. They come with a tag bracket from the factory. The only reason the tag bracket is installed by the dealer is some states don't require a front tag.

Ditto twice;
Once back 04 on N895 on my midly modified 03 Rex wagon (wheels, tint, lowering spring etc quiet exhaust) cost me $50 cop even noticed and commented on my "sleeper" FMIC install ;-)

Again in 2010 on I95 in B-more city in my 08 STI (all stock) got just a warning. Again cop kept me for like 30 minutes checking out car as he wanted to buy one. Wife also got pulled over for having plastic covers on the plates, got fix-it-ticket for that B-more county Rt1 in Fallston.

Also have been pulled over for tint again NE B-more county and got a fix-it-ticket in our DD 06 OBXT all stock except for tint. Removed tint with heat gun, got it inspected sign off, and re tinted all in about four hours :-)

Not exactly or more often. Dealers order cars from factory. They choose the options when they order. There is a code for the front plate that if they select, the vehicle is shipped w/ the front tag bracket.
