Default fuel pump/injector upgrade 02 WRX

I have a stock 02 WRX, FMIC, BOV, welded internal WG running EWG linked to factory boost control(??not sure??), ~16PSI, ~174hp on a mustang. Looking to upgrade the fuel pump/injectors to something a little more. What size are my stock injectors/fuel pump. What size should i upgrade to ? Im planning for about ~300 to the wheels in the end, maybe less even . Thanks guys.

you need to call your local tuner with this question. for your power goals, you're going to need a new turbo as well.

oh and get rid of the bov and replace it with a bypass valve.

don't listen to him about your bov...he obviously hasn't read the bov sticky...

to answer your questions...

for the fuel pump, stock 02 wrx pump is 130lph...the walbro 255lph pump should do just fine for your power goals.

for the injectors, stock 02 injectors are 440cc...if you are staying on regular pump gas, sti pinks (550ish cc's) should do you just fine if you aren't planning on upgrading anymore after that. for some extra headroom on regular pump gas, you could go with something a little bigger in case you decide to go bigger later. if you are going with e85, the injectors need to be in the 850-1000cc range for the stock turbo.

your tuner probably has his preferences to sizes and brands for injectors, so you probably want to talk to him before purchasing to get his opinions.

feel free to pm me if you have any other questions...

thanks guys, def. some good advice for the future. Looks like the first I will be doing is a new fuel pump, as Im pretty sure i just blew mine romping on the highway just now. car barley idles, have to give it gas to keep it alive at ~2300 RPMs. fuel pump makes noise when i turn the key, but the car stalls when i try to go in 1st. definitely looking to get the walbro 255. gotta check to make sure thats my problem first. possibly FPR?

99% of your posts make 0% of sense...a bypass valve IS a recirc type valve, and there are ZERO valves on the market that are open at idle...that wouldn't be called a blow off valve or bypass valve, that would be called a vacuum leak valve...

is there any benefit to upgrading the fuel pump only? i'd guess no since the injectors can only inject so much.

Stock injectors are 440s.. Which can support you in the mid high 200s with proper fuel pressure.. But be warned its not wise to run injectors higher than 80 percent duty cycle for long..

300 wheel STI pinks will easily support that but if you want headway go bigger.

Was this car purchased in the middle of a part out? The mods are very random and some of them actually harmful to performance. Your car makes what most WRXs would make stock on your normal Mustang dyno.
