Default Updated AccessPORT Off-The-Shelf Maps for 2002-2005 WRX

We are proud to announce that we have updated our Stage1 and Stage2 mapping for the 2002-2005 2.0 liter WRX. The major changes are to the ignition timing and boost control strategies: for timing, we have changed the Dynamic Advance strategy to simplify the total ignition timing calculation; for boost, we have revised the Wastegate Duty Cycles and Boost Targets tables to add consistency to the boost control system. We've also bolstered the repository to now include a "LWG" and "HWG" option for all Stage1 and Stage2 maps. All of these changes are intended to provide safer and more consistent operation under varying mechanical and environmental conditions and to facilitate quickly reviewing logs for potential tuning issues. You should expect smoother power delivery with reduced likelihood of knock and/or under/overboosting when using the new v310 maps.

Updated maps can be downloaded from the Subaru AccessPORT Map Database.

Gravity,

No, these are for v2 AP. Version 1 is no longer supported. However, we have a v1 to v2 trade-in program if you are interested. http://cobbtuning.com/trade-in.

Thanks,

Gary

It's not "useless" but is of greatly diminished usefulness compared to a new V2, which gets regular mapping updates, can take datalogs and read CELs, has a much faster reflashing time, color screen, etc. V1's can still be traded in for $200 credit towards a V2 as well! Much like the Sony Walkman or Apple II computer, the V1 was great for its time but does not have enough power to keep up with today's standards.

Best regards

Lance
