Default Reducing cluking noise in TEINs

Would raising the rear of the car reduce the clunking noise off the rear type FLEX coilovers? Also, once we got all the measurements as recommended by TEIN's reference, what is the best way to lower and higher up the car?

- Use the spring perch?
or
- Move the lower bracket up or down

Move lower bracket to adjust height. One trick I use to reduce noise a bit is to use some rubber sheeting between the strut mount and the body of the car. Doesn't solve it but helps. To be honest the clunking doesn't bother me at all (although I RARELY notice it on my RA's).

I have raised the rear of my WRX by about 3/4" by using the spring perch. I figured that small amount should not bring the damper out of travel spec. Basically here are my new settings. Using the Type FLEX reference measurements as per TEINs manual. The reference value for "C" is 163mm. I moved the perch up making the value of "C" change to 185mm. For reference I have the stock wheels. After this change, the clunking noise was noticeable reduced. During street cruising it still shows up now and then spewcially on bumpy and roads with above average imperfections. However on the freeway the clunking pretty much dissapeared. When going over a big freeway bump I can still hear the clunk howerver the sound is pretty much absorbed by the simulatneous damper squeak, so you can hardly notice it. Definitely it does not annoyme anymore. I will be adding the rubber as suggested by God, that should reduce the noise even more. I think after puting that rubber sheet on all 4 struts mounts I should be very pleased with the setup. I now have a 2 finger gap in the rear and 1 and a half finger gap in the front. (stock wheels). Once I put my 18" wheels that gap should be gone.
