Default Octane Booster Sufficient for Stage 2 93 oct.?

Couldn't find a thread where this was addressed but if there is one please add a link. Its not that im interested in trying it im just wondering would running octane booster such as a NOS, lucas, or 104 brand of octane booster allow you to safely run a stage 2 map for 93 octane when your pump only supplies 91 or 92 octane fuel?

Probably not, most octane boosters only raise the octane rating by .3 if they say that it raises the octane rating by 3 points... Not good enough, tho I hear there are some that actually raise the octane rating by 3 points so, you need to read the labels carefully...

Octane booster is good enough for a stage 2 map for 93 octane when your pump supplies 93 octane fuel. Three bottles of octane booster is good enough for a stage 2 map for 93 octane when your pump supplies 92 octane fuel.

Interesting, on the lucas "off road only" octane booster it says it raises octane by 5 points by 5 points do they mean .5?

Yes, so if you had 91 octane in the tank and the octane booster raised the octane of that amount of gas by 5 points, you would be at 91.5 octane.

If you want to signficantly raise the octane and unleaded race gas is not available in your area, you can look into running toulene.
