I have bought me a set of these coils, I have yet to put them on (waiting for warmer weather) but just from looking at them the build quality is far better than what they used to be. A buddy of mine had bought some a few years ago and the styling and build looks completely different.

Just put 1000 miles on mine this weekend (makes roughly 3000 total). Absolute pleasure to drive on! Zero complaints. Comfortable yet firm. Not any noisier than the other (more expensive) sti coilovers I've ridden on in the past. And as stated above, I too was very impressed with fit and finish. With the warranty and customer service they offer, it's very difficult to go anywhere else... Thanks again Raceland!

A very happy customer here...

Cheers

yup my bad, curb guy doesn't count. i was reading multiple threads at once and must have gotten confused.

Sub'd in for more reviews, these may see their way under my car after current deployment. Does anyone have more info on where these coils are built? saw in an earlier post that parts are from Germany, but anyone have insight on assembly?

EDIT: as we all know coils have stiffer rated springs for performance, my question is does anyone have ride quality complains from passengers? i.e. non-performance folks (wife, mother, GF, BF, grandfather, etc.)

I installed my racelands on my 06 wagon this summer and since then, they are so noisy. They're constantly clunking any time I go over any bumps. Do you have any suggestions on exactly how to set preload on these Racelands to make sure they aren't noisy?

Make sure the 17mm top nut that holds the strut shaft to the top hat hasn't loosened up.

Just emailed Raceland to inquire a little more. I've got an 02 wrx and I was originally just looking for oe struts but after reading this forum I'm thinking about going with the Raceland gd for my dd. Do I need anything other than an alignment and is there any other hardware i need to install? Should I pay the extra $30 for the ultimos? Any input is appreciated.

First and foremost... some awesone reviews in here! Thank you for the time and especially the updates on everyones thoughts and feelings to this coilovers.

I have to be honest, this was the first review I auctually read from page 1 to the end! Maybe because it wasnt awfully long but I think it was mainky because I have been looking in to Racelands for about a year now.

My question, is the dampening non adjustable? Im looking at the set for my '12 WRX. Also I take it theres no such yhing as the Ultimo option yet for the '08+ yet?

My fronts were clunky for a bit. I put motor on the tops and it went away.

Motor oil or machine oil. Something that will lube the pillow joints. Just pour a little on the top.

Yes, spend the extra $ and get the ultimos. I love mine, and everyone who rides in my WRX is like "what suspension are you running?" and when I tell them coilovers and not springs they are shocked. They ride THAT good.

Raceland coil overs are the worst investment i ever made. Not to poop on anyones party , if u have them , like them & the way they ride thats awesome. But my experience with them is anything but stellar. Ran them this past summer, and the ride felt bad even after several adjustments. You felt every bump on the road.

I would partially agree. I have the ultimos, they are on the harsh side. They are ok if you don't drive on ****ty roads but if you do get some adjustable ones. I would not recommend them for people who have ultra low profile tires for the street. On my stock tires and 17's i thought they were the greatest thing ever, but that was a combination of the tires and the coils soaking up the road imperfections.

For 500 bucks though, they are the greatest coilover ever made at that price. Zero issues with them mechanically. My next set will probably be Feal's 441, Kw v1, or the ISC comforts after i do a bit more research. I need some that will be the last set ill ever buy for the street. Someone will see some 9 month old coils for sale at 350 as soon as the weather clears up.

Default Racelands for 13 impreza sport

First off wanna say these sound great for those who are trying do it up right but aren't millionaires!

So I have a 13 impreza sport and have been doing research on suspension, and have found that 08+ wrx suspension fits my car. So the stock shocks and struts will fit, so I am thinking that the racelands for the 08+ wrx should fit my car.

Does anyone have any insight into whether this would work. I really have become a fan of these through all the positive feedback and would be stoked to be able to purchase a set!!!

Thanks for the help.

Default Ultimos

Just got my ultimios in yesterday. Had a weekend planned with my dad towards the end of the month to install them, gut my up-pipe and retune my car but i think i may install them tomorrow. Not slamming it but i do want lower than stock. Any conservative suggestions on height?
