If you applied the same logic of "if it's cheap then it must be ****," to the process of buying a car itself, then wrx's would be out of the question for performance sedans since they are so much less expensive than M5's and E63 Amg's. But we all know that a new STi in fact holds the nurburgring lap record, beating out both of the $90k rocketships I just mentioned.

If you've seen other critical failures like 240benzo's, please bring them to everyone's attention!!! Until then, I will continue researching and considering this college-student-budget-friendly route towards the low and stiff life.
I haven't seen additional failures from this product.

I have also NEVER seen any failure like that on ANY other product.

I'm not going to argue with you. You want to cheap out on suspension, go ahead. But, when you do, post a comprehensive review.

Initial thoughts.

Comparison between your set ups.

Long term thoughts(after 6 months, 12 months etc)

The only reviews we have here are:

"yea bro I can slam my car and it still rolls"

"yea bro I slammed my rwd impreza and can drift it"

And

"I had these on my car and had a critical failure"

haha dude do you work for H&R or Tein or something? Don't take it so personally when someone doesn't take your advice man! I'm not trying to argue, I just don't like being told that I'm wrong for making a decision based on price when I'm on a tight budget. If I get some Racelands and they fail and it f*cks up my car, then that's MY problem and MY fault, and I can accept that. I appreciate your concern and that you are just looking out for everyone by letting your opinion of these coils known. (not being sarcastic, I actually do appreciate it!)

And referring to your quotes from the owners of racelands, I'm not looking to slam my car and ruin suspension geometry just so I can look cool scraping my bumpers. I want coilovers instead of lowering springs so I can ride high enough to handle snow (I go to school in the mountains), and then drop it down some for a nice blast down the blue ridge parkway. Please don't lump me in with the form > function people.

Sorry to everyone else for blowing up this thread lately...I'll be sure to make my own thread if I decide to go ahead with the purchase!

My friend bought them for his wrx wagon 2 years ago. He had tein coilovers before, and they were too stiff for daily driving. He loves the race lands. They do everything he wants them to, and they handle very well. I don't really think you will see a difference with the more expensive brands unless you are an avid autocross/big track racer. For a DD with some aggressive driving, I don't see why more people don't have these, instead of the 1500$ high end brands on their DD that they barely race. Just my 2 cents.

i plan to buy raceland coilovers for my wrx, and reading your thread on them help make up my mind so thank you, the videos, i did not find offensive at all, simply just showing that a lower priced brand can handle aggressive driving. good review.

One of my friends in maine has a tuned stage 2 2004 sti and he has run racelands on his car for 3 years he goes to new England drag way mostly once a week during the summer and runs it and beats the **** out of it daily and after 3 Maine winters no problems at all visually they look like any other suspension after 3 years a lil paint chipping off maybe a little surface rust but nothing bad most of my other friends run them on their e30's and slam them and still no problems I plan on buying them for my 05 2.5rs when they are not on back order supposed to start shipping them again in 2 weeks

Thinking about buying these for my gc soon & to address the guy who keeps talking trash about these coils because of this failure, all coils have failures, ive only heard of this one for racelands, but ive heard of blistein bending & BCs snapping, and the thing with the racelands is it sounds like it could have been his own fault. (No offense)
just my .02$

Use the period button.

Also, my comment wasn't "bashing" anything. If there is any sort of evidence showing similar failures I'd love to see them.

Just bought a set for my gc. Easy install. Easy adjustment. 1 down side, my rear bounces a bit mostly on uneven road surfaces. That and a bit of chatter (i think mostly due to a poorly installed wheel bearing tho). Lets wait for a snap n c what happens. Haha knock on wood.

Just installed them on my 04 wrx so far great coils no complaints. They work just as well as the other brands and come with a two year warranty if you are concerned with them breaking. The car handles great and matched with my setup the car is way more fun to drive. Best of luck with yours

how would you describe ride quality over rough surfaces? Is there enough suspension travel going ove bumps, etc.?
