Talked to AEM yesterday and it'll be at least a year before we see them for our Subies.

I can't wait, my builder ordered one for my STI, with some extra goodies! Now, to just get it in & installed. I guess AEM sped up their timeline a bit.

Not a tuner.....

I happen to know the guy who developed this. I watched as he sold it to AEM. I even met a couple of the guys from AEM when they came out to see how it worked. I wasn't really supposed to know anything about the deal so I never said anything about it.

I got a demo from my friend on his own car (Ultima GTR). It seems like the real value of this system is that it really is limitless as to what it can be adapted to. If somebody got trained up on this and had the master software they could literally build an ecu for any car using the exact same piece of hardware. It was way over my head but even I can appreciate the jump in technology. I doubt even the AEM authorized tuners will have that version of the software but it is very capable.

Also, the chip they are using is lightning fast compared to anything out on the market right now. The software allows very quick changes as well. I don't doubt that it will soon be found in some of the oem vehicles very soon.

Have look on the Syvecs S6 or S8,those ECU are used here in UK and I'm running this ECU

No extra cable, you are need just simple RJ45 cable for accessing the ECU(mapping, datalogging etc.)

Here is it full technical details about this ECU:

Currently it's not a AEM supported ap.

This means you're going to have to put supported triggers on the engine in order to run it. They did just finish the BMW with dual vanos so the cam control is up and working well, however I've not heard any forward movement on the EJ platform.

The Syvecs is a nice system, right up there with the Motec...

If you want to do this soon and you're on a normal persons budget why don't you get a Hydra?

Thanks
