Default Cobb SF intake stage 1 2011 wrx

I just did a pull tonight on my 2011 wrx.. recently installed sf intake and flashed to cobb's sf intake for stage 1 91 oct.

cobbs website say 16psi peak boost..
I attempted to data log, but I didn't reset my log values.. so it was useless..

my AP did log max pressure of 14.1psi... now i did redline it on 3rd gear from 2500rpm...

Is this normal?
Say I'm not going to change to the HWG map... and leave it as is.. is there any ill effect in the long term run? since my max registered boost is 14.1 and under the intended peak boost, will my car be ok/

I could double check the installation, but i'm pretty sure i tightened all the clamps.

Also... am i suppose to hear the rush of air? i kno i'm suppose to hear the bov.. but the rush of air worries me as i'm not sure if it's leaking air because of the installation... any advice would help

I just installed my cobb sf intake tonight at the exact same time on my 2011 WRX! Along with my whiteline sways and kartboy end links.

I was hitting 16.6 boost so I am not sure why you would be only hitting 14.1. I was running 93 octane though with a little mix of 91. This intake is very very loud. I had read that it is louder than the AEM or other intakes but I didn't realize that it was this loud. I was looking forwards to a more aggressive intake and BPV sound but I had no idea it was this loud. I was worried right away too that I had done something wrong but that is just how a short intake goes. It isn't even comparable at all to the stock intake in any way. Its gotta be like 10 times as loud haha.

Best thing to do is to get a data log (as per the video below) and upload it to google docs (set the permissions to public) and then post a link here.
