turbo crossmember fitment?
-
hey all i am in need of some help. i am going to be swapping my 2000 legacy gt soon and i don't want to notch my crossmember for the up pipe fitment. i was curious what crossmembers are a direct swap in and what other parts should i get with that crossmember. i was curious if a wrx crossmember would fit and would i need the front sway bar and any other parts. thanks

I'm not exactly sure if there is a direct swap?
U will have to match the steering rack w/ the crossmember most likely & possibly the slip joint

baja turbo comes to mind

Baja turbo FTW thanks that is perfect for what I need

you will also need a turbo front sway bar. the NA bar hits the crossmember where the up pipe goes...

thanks again this was my this is something i imagined was needed. i also wondwer if the sway bars match from the wrx i might as well upgrade these things while i have it all apart when the time comes

If you use the baja turbo crossmember I think you still have to shim the front control arm mount, just like if you used any WRX front crossmember. Did the baja turbo crossmember have a thinner control arm bushing?
For a direct swap, I know the old Legacy turbo '91 though '94 crossmembers work.

^good info would i need the steering rack from the 91-94 legacy?
