Default HELP car wont start 2.0 jdm block with Usdm heads

Well after doing this build, my wrx wont start,ok some details,02 wrx 5 speed 118000 was on the motor before I pull it out the car and the was a running motor with RomRaider tune Up pipe, headers, turbo inlet, down pipe and more on the car also.
The 97 jdm ej20k automatic motor came complete and I only used it cause Tiger did not want to take it back cause its not what I wanted
Any way I decided to used the block only and reuse all the Usdm parts onto it and I have never did this before but I went in.
So now that's its all complete it would turn over but not start,no check lights also also I can hear the starter hitting the Act flywheel on turn over
I have swapped the crank sensor ,checked for fuel and I can hear the fuel pump, timing belt looks good, starter was checked at Auto Zone but I to I will do these steps next , make sure the battery has good cranking amps, change cam sensor, check for spark and do a compression test .
I think its electric but what you guys think and also the starter to hitting the flywheel ,you can email me at trinistyles1@gmail.com if you wish I just need some HELP Please.
Here are some pics

Usdm motor and the Clutch was shot.

Jdm block with everything else Usdm ,here is the timing blet pic

Act fly

Clutch done.

Starter with a noticeable marks to the front of it

You needed to swap the crank shaft timing gear to the phase 2 style.

Did you use the thicker 1.37mm head gaskets for this build? I see you didn't use the tiny idler gear, so I hope that means yes. If you went with stock 02 WRX head gasket, your quench is going to be a bit tight and you may end up with some piston to head contact. The thicker gasket + usdm heads also lowers the compression to around 7.8:1 so you can turn up the boost

A few remarks:

- there is no such thing as an EJ20K automatic, if it was automatic it must be EJ20G.
- you have to use 1.4 mm head gaskets and not the 0.8 mm USDM WRX gaskets, pistons WILL hit the head

You've got the wrong crank shaft sprocket on there, use the one from your USDM engine and it will start up fine (after you've changed the head gaskets, obviously or you could ruin the engine instantly).

Gasket uses was .051 and I can't use the idler cause the Jdm block don't have a bolt hole for it as for the motor I am guessing I have one of these wrx gf8d58p Or gf8e58p ej20g 240 auto motor not a K as I posted on top, under the oil cap has 97 but that could be wrong also, but its a g.
Thank for the input and if I missed some thing let me know.

Sounds like just changing the crank sprocket and drive it - good luck!

The reason you need (at least on paper) the extra tiny idler is because the thinner headgasket (all phase 2 engines) introduces extra play in the timing belt. thats why the phase 1 engines (EJ20G, EJ20K, usdm EJ25D) with 1.3mm-ish headgasket does not use the extra idler.

examine not the belt surface but the very outer edge, there are different notches which is how the crank sensor determines position. it changed in phase 2 engines

It doesn't bolt into the block. It bolts into the bracket that the tensioner is attached to. Swap those brackets if you want the small idler.

If there was a bracket for the idler I would use it but there is no bolt hole on the block look very close at the pics and where the red arrow is at.

Jdm block

Now look at the Usdm block
