It doesn't fit perfect, but over all I am happy. If you don't look too hard it looks nice.

That said, the rear seats don't fit quite right and I think something should be done, but I am not sure I have the energy right now. I had to remove the latch for the fold down segment so the seats would lean back all the way. I am thinking of modifying the bracket that holds the seats together as well.

Does anyone know how to get the plastic foot rest to mount on to the carpet. My left foot is always resting there, and I don't want to wear a giant hole there after all this work. I was thinking of hot-gluing it, but I'm sure there is a less ghetto way to do it.

A couple of sheet metal screws might work?

I've done the 02 wrx seat swap on my old 2000 rs and I thought it looked great. I always wanted to do the carpet swap but never got around to it. Looks good, I don't see why people don't do this more. Especially since the blue seats tend lose favor to the 04-05 black seats.

Thanks Stig. For anyone wondering, I think the seat swap is much easier on a non-hatchback because you don't have to mess with the fold down bracket. The front seats are super easy, and bolt right up. I think the blue looks wonderful, and since they are out of favor, they are cheap if you can get them local. I paid $125 for front and rear seats from a guy who was upgrading to the 04-05 black seats. The carpet swap wasn't too bad, and if I had some spare scraps of carpet hanging around, I could easily cover some of the bare spots.

Thanks! I think it was a fantastic 8 hour and $100 investment.
