Default EJ20K speedometer help

I swapped my 99rs with a V3 EJ20K JDM, unfortunately the speedometer cable is too short, i am using the JDM cluster. and the cable is mounted on the RHS of the tranny, is there an extended cable that will longer or using the USDM cable?
but i figure the cables are the same length just positioned on either side, JDM or USDM

I dont want to change clusters, and also where is the VSS located for the V3?

Please help !

You just need a USDM cable. The VSS is part of the instrument cluster. The ECU gets the speed signal from the cluster.

I'm not sure of the year range exactly (I know 96 uses a cable), but any Impreza or Legacy with a cable should work.

All transmissions have the speedo gear on the RH side so USDM cable is longer, use that one.
