So I ran my car on my friend's gtech yesterday and here is what I ran:
1/4 @ 14.1 @ 95mph 0-60 @ 5.5 60ft @ 1.92 Elevation was less than 100ft and temperature was in the mid 50's Here are the mods I have: Avcr @1.1bar Catback (magnaflow) CAI The curb weight was about 3500lbs. with me my friend and all of the junk in the car. I would like to get some suggestions on how to improve this. I am getting an uppipe and dp and have seen people run low 13's with the same setup I can't see these mods improving my time by about 1 sec down the track. I want to improve this so tell me what I suck at and how I should improve it. -skooter

um yeah those mods would make a second dif.. considering those 2 mods will make more of a diff tahn anything you have on the car now.. you can see 35 hp from uppipe downpipe easy as it will replace 3 cats!
Second.. your launch needs a little work should see about 1.8.. although yours is far from bad ... the 0-60 suggests your probably losing a bit in the 1-2 shift as well.. if you can hit a better launch and make a better 1-2 you can probably see 13.9 now. Oh and ditch the CAI.. it will only hurt you!!! (unless you have engine management to account for it) Do a search on CAI's for the WRX most poeple lose HP to the stock airbox with it. |

well..your off with the weight..
I weighed my 01RS with me in it and with a ful interior(and a 12" sub and box) and I weighed in at 3060lbs on the money. that was using a "CAT" scale which HAVE to be accurate. Consider the fact that your car weighs about 400 lbs more than mine. The G-Tech isnt accurate at all. You should be in the 13's with those mods. |

The gtech when doing acceleration tests only measures g's and acceleration and uses weight for calculating hp numbers.
The curb weight is stated in the tech manuals as 3075 for the WRX. So for 2 people @ 200 a piece little less than half a tank of gas and a buch of random crap in the trunk I assumed 3500lbs was accurate. Also the hp it is calculating is about 210hp peak at the wheels. Which for the mods I thought was fairly accurate. I could be completly wrong so I will go to the local dump and get the car weighed. As far as the 1-2 shift should I slip the clutch or drop it and just let the car do it's thing. Another thing to add is that I have the subaru short throw shifter and I have problems getting it into second as fast as I could with the regular throw on my friend wrx. Is this just something that comes with the short throw or is it a possible problem w/ the tranny? For my last question what rpm in 3rd do you guys shift at? -skooter |

work on the launch, im not a big fan of the avcr. Many people have claimed their ecus learn around apexi's products...which suck anyways.
3rd gear-7000...u might be able to inch out the quarter by revin it a lil more and not needing a 3-4 shift but it's close |
