Get new case halfs, less that a thousand $$$, save you some heartbreak on a built motor.

Leaning towards this, but have a lead on a 702 case w/ 10k miles on it. Looks good. But the extra 300 dollars it would take to get a new case... is going to be a toss up.
Thanks.

I'm eager to see Tinos results as well as ^spike^ results.

I think I'm going to run cobb speed density at first to get things dialed in, since I already have an AP. Anyone see objections to this?

I would, but I'm already committed to buying them from a guy on here. Hes given me a good deal on parts, and I bet he's close to what you're selling them for new.

Thank you much for the offer though.

Vipec all the way man. I just got mine a few months ago, a few guys up here are running them with great success and no issues whatsoever!
GL with the build, sounds like she's going to be a fun ride.

I'm on the fence, but I do know that Vipec makes a good product from all the positive hearsay.

Well ECU dilemma has been decided.

Going w/ an AEM EMS v2. Even though the cobb SD is appealing, I don't think I can sleep easy going that route.
Junior is going to tune it for me and get me all situated once it comes time to get everything hooked up and go.

Ran through the numbers today, still have about 10,000 dollars to finish this build so it's going to be a while yet.

All of those AN fittings on your surge tank are aluminum...did you use SS braided rubber hose instead of SS braided Teflon hose? Hoping not

Right from the guy I bought it from -

Quote:
Feed line, full return line, wiring and relays etc..etc.... All high quality (expensive GoodRidge Fuel Lines/Fittings All Re-Usable Hose Ends - Teflon coasted stainless lines in the trunk so I would not smell fuel. **All you need to complete the install is the Bosch 044 fuel pumps, rails & regulator**
I think I'll be okay. I wish I could say i built this surge tank setup. . . I'm so excited to get it. Should be here by Feb 10th for me to look at till winter is over.

I've never wanted winter to go so fast in my life. I have a lot of work to do to this car to prepare for this motor and I'm not going to lay on my 15 degree concrete garage floor to do it. No money on side for a garage heater yet.

added some pictures of the fuel rails & Injectors... I Have gotten my intercooler, injectors, and decided to go with a new case for the short block. Short block should be paid for by end of March... Which is conveniently the time that BW is supposed to start delivering turbos.

Epic day! Dropped off my transmission, R180, and Flywheel in Milwaukee, Picked up my new diff in Chicago, drove to South Bend Indiana and met thefoos, talked to him for a half hour about his build, then I met coolblue05, near toledo and bought a koyo radiator and samco hoses! Ended up in Bowling Green to find out that the NCAA tournement is here... with the Florida Gators womens team being in my hotel. Kinda neat.

750 miles today, got to meet some cool people today that hopefully I will get to talk to again!

Ha, nope. 2011 Chevy 1500. Pretty comfy... regardless it was a pile of miles.

If the weather wasn't perfect it would have been a long day. Never have went from 8am-8pm with windows down in the middle of march.

Nope - I have an order in through a different source than Full - Race and I was told late March - Early April at best...

It doesn't affect a whole lot to me at this time because my car wont start with out every component, but I want it so that Cody can start on my exhaust, which will take over a month, maybe more because he's prepping for Pikes Peak this year.

For people like you however ... I feel for you man, this wait has to suck

Grimmspeed Master Cylinder Brace here, and installed. Fairly easy w/ no motor / trans in there!

Short Block to be here Monday. So pumped. Should be getting Clutch, motor mounts and all the other stuff from Built here soon too. Once I get done fighting my rear diff, I'm going to start installing the fuel system, hopefully that goes okay.

Anyone have suggestions on ways to run the lines?
