I went in there too. Setup a tire swap and I sat in it. I left before signing paperwork. Even asked about the sale price on the windshield, I was shocked to see it.

Yeah, but look how far in advance you got it and what you've done with it. That's how I view getting something at a higher price. You pay more to get what you want when you want it. A little patience goes a long way.

I'm happy Conti didn't make me pay the $2k mark-up on my WRX back in the day. I know they can't go around selling WRX Limiteds at Base STI prices all the time. That's why you see so many Base and Premium models for the WRX.

I'm actually kinda sad the two BRZ have sat around this long. People spend money on so many other things that seem waaaay more wasteful.

true, 2k markup i paid for is well spent! I had soo much fun with it over the summer, i only wish i could have use that 2k for more parts haha!

It's really suprising to see two brz not being sold.. I guess I understand why they wont sell.. I mean winter's almost here... but that wont stop me!

People who can waste 30 grand probably are the ones that buy 911s and R8s, not BRZs .

Everyone else who buys BRZs, spending 30 grand for something to sit in the garage the next 6 months honestly IS a waste, a waste of $3,000 worth of payments.

If it was the beginning of summer, im sure they would've been gone first day.

Haven't you heard? Did you not get the memo? Cars that are driven by the rear wheels do not work in the snow. We all know this. Why can't you get with the program, sir?

Well chano, you seem to have remembered the trophies!

upgraded parts a waste….nah. I improved most other areas of the car. It was time.

I had more car than the stock brakes could handle, until I improved those, I didn't feel comfortable upgrading to meth. I'm going a good bit faster now and regularly in the top group running with super cars, built STI's and caged/gutted race cars in a old WRX. $2500 in brakes instead of buying a whole new car, a no brainer. Not a waste, it was purposeful.

I agree with Paul, nothing wrong with driving a 2wd vehicle in winter, saw plenty of fast cats racing them on big lake with us the last two ice racing seasons. I don't hear of them having problems in roundabouts driving someone else's car. Perhaps if you spent sometime on the course with us in a controlled setting instead of post whoring you'd know the limits more thoroughly. A "Subaru guru" should know that the time spent on a autocross course helps you build car handling skills that are readily applied in real world situations on public roads.

Smooches!

I forgot that you have to have some skill and abilities to drive RWD in less than optimal conditions.

Knowing that you received trophies is not the same as caring about which trophies you received when.

Everyone can justify their purchases. That wasn't the point of my comment.

I've driven rear-wheel drive cars and front-wheel drive cars longer than all-wheel drive cars. Paul understood my comments were sarcastic, you should take some lessons from him.

I wish I could be as 100% awesome as you 100% of the time. My life would be a whole lot easier and Stig-tastic if it were always so predictable and flawless. I'm sure that autox helps one to know how to drive every single car in every single situation at every single customized setup. Bigfoot is real.

I see no issue with RWD if your commute consists of hwy driving since those are mostly clear. I however couldn't get up the hill next to my house without a running start lol

if i still owned my S2, my reasons for parking it over the winter would be:
1. my car is too pretty to get beat on by Alaska winter
2. i dont care that its rwd, id care about all the retard drivers who if i got into an accident with, would probly end up totaling my car or crushing me and it like a soda can

When we get a BRZ, it'll stay in the garage in the winter. Not because it can't be driven in the winter, rather why drive it in the winter. AWD is much more fun in the winter time. Like people on here have been preaching, "Right tool for the job"

I'm not going to drive my BRZ this winter and here is why.

I trust myself. I trust my driving ability. I trust the car itself with all its traction controls to safely get me where I need to go.

I however DO NOT trust ANYONE else that I share the road with. Given the choice to drive me 99 awd subaru vs a 2013 BRZ in the winter, I'd rather (not) get hit driving the 2.5RS.

So having decided that I'm not about to spend money on tires for winter and let it sit on them all winter in my garage. I'm instead going to save that for summer time.

Oh and with my payments... leaving a BRZ sitting in a garage for 6 months is only wasting me approx $1800. So am I heart broken? Nope. Instead looking at a $9000 yamaha FZ8 thats paid in full, sitting in my garage for 6 months out of the year hurts me more.
