I posted a thread a while back asking whether the purge control solenoid valve was necessary, which I missed after my swap.
Now I'm trying to figure out the plumbing to the solenoid. The car is a '98L with '94 EJ20 IM and fuel rails (EJ205 with Ver4 STi Heads). Similar to the USDM 1.8L rails the 20G came with the carbon canister in the front of the engine. I capped both hard lines that use to run to this canister. Currently the small capped line is connected to a vacuum nipple on the TB. The larger capped line is connected to the evaporate line that runs back to the tank ( I think), it's the evaporate line next to the fuel feed and return lines on the rail. My question is where do I connect the port on the solenoid that is suppose to be connected to the rail. Looking at my '98 FSM one port on the solenoid goes to the IM and the other goes to the vent line that runs to the carbon canister located on the passenger side rear of the car. Any help would be appreciated. ![]() ![]()
