ECU fried and married to my AP

My stock ecu fried, and it is married to my AP v1. How do I umnmarrie my AP V1 to use it on a new ecu?

Unfortunately, we no longer support (or have the ability) to unmarry the AP v1, even if you were to send it in. AP v1 device is quite old and has reached its "end-of-life" a few years ago as far as support is concerned.

We do, however, offer a $200 credit towards the purchase of a new AP v2 when you trade-in your AP v1 (working or not, married or not). Details here:

Isent there a way to unmarrie the AP v1 via the computer, or a way to reset it through the ecu even if it is fried?

Sorry, there's not a way for you to do that. How did you determine that your ECU is "fried" and what occurred that caused that to happen? What vehicle is this?

My scanner says "cannot link to vehicle. I got water in the passenger footwell about 3". Drove about 100ft and the car died. I pulled out the carpet, dried everything off to see that the 3 large plugs on the passenger side footwell were all wet, and the ecu had a little moisture on it. I am goingto try and dry out the ecu with some contact cleaner and rice next to see if it works. It is in a 2002 WRX wagon MT

Ah, ok. If drying out the ECU doesn't work, then your next step would be to buy a used ECU. You can find them on ebay for your car for about $150-$200. Beyond that, I would recommend trading in the AP v1 for the $200 credit towards the purchase of the AP v2. You'll get our latest device with the ability to view/log many parameters, launch control feature, dyno/performance functions, the ability to use the newest maps we've developed for the 02-05 WRX recently, free AccessTUNER Race tuning software, etc.

If that is not in the budget, then your other option would be to go with open source (Ecuflash).

Do you guys have a tune for the grimmspeed bcs? And what if I wanted say 2-3 more psi than a cobb stage2? Can that be done?

Virtually any kind of modifications -- and boost levels -- can be appropriately tuned for by your local ProTUNER facility or a COBB retail facility! Let us know where you're located and we can help you find a local tuner for a great custom tune on your new V2.
