Default My first time dragging a 5spd WRX...Opinions please

I went to E-Town (8/7) to drag my semi-WRX. This was my first time dragging a WRX and let alone the first time dragging a stick. I am familiar with dragging but in an auto (Nitrous fed Max).

Anyways here are my time. I only went once as it got late out and there was way too many people there.

r/t - .791
60' - 2.03
330 - 5.99
1/8 - 9.2
mph - 74.62
1000 - 12.1
1/4 - 14.53
mph - 92.52

I was launching at about 3500-4K rpms, slipping it. I also bogged my launch a little as i let up on teh gas a little. I know there is room for improvement.

I am running stock boost with an exception of a ATR up-pipe. Let me know what you guys thing and any kind of pointers. Thanks!

You see guys after 27 launches i still can't get a 1/8 or quarter that low...he's got me by .4 sec on both, so i am losing .4 sec somewhere....our 60' are about the same though...

I ran 14.4 @ 92 bone stock after a few nights of practise.

Its a tricky car to get to run good. All i can say is practise, practise, practise.

How is your shifting? I was shifting as fast as i could so i think that might knock a little off. What mods are you running?

Practice is def. key. I was practicing my launches for about 2 weeks before i finally hit the drag strip. I know i can pull at least a 1.9 60ft.

V6, i know you added a MBC and something else when you ran a 13.5 i believe? How much boost were you running?

Don't forget the PU

On your 14.4 @ 92 stock run, do you remember 1/8th mile data?

No, no fancy fuel tonight.

I took my car to moroso autosprots and i ran a14.47@92.53mph.
i launched the car @ 5k rpm you just have to play with the clutch for a while and you will learn how to make that car chirp off the line, and just dip down the line. the key to racing is just relax. cuz ya know your gonna make that car dip.

Peace

MIke

my best run my first time at the track (stock everything) was 14.395@93.7 w/ a 1.97 60'
i was getting consistent 14.5's so you're right with me man! heh
i know we can get those 60's down to below 1.9 with more practice.
i wont' be stock for long, my backordered TXS stage 1 should arrive this week
