Default Clutch help

06 wrx
I need a new clutch and am looking for a good place to get it done. I have one estimate which I hope is high. I would rather not do it myself but for 1800 bucks I may have to. So recommend which parts or who you used. my car is stage two and wont be tuned any stronger.

Stock will be fine, or stage one clutch master or exedy and go to solid autoworks to have it installed. And might as well do a street lite flywheel at the same time.

I did the same, I just did it myself with an OEM exedy. Here is a good thread if you are looking for a walk through. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1324240
(sorry I just noticed his images are down now though...)

In my opinion, if you aren't super rushed, then do it yourself you'll save TONS of money and you'll learn a bit more about the car.

As for parts, stick with trusted brands (Exedy, Clutchmaster etc...) I wouldn't recommend going with the cheap ebay only brands such as F1... you might be okay with one, but i've heard to many horror stories also.

I think Solid Autoworks has a flat rate of around $400 for a clutch install...

You'd probably be out the door for under $800 with an oem clutch.

Or like they said, do it yourself, I feel it's easier to just pull the engine if you have a cherry picker.
