Default pic of sti shift trim and momo knob???

Anybody have a momo race air leather shift knob with the STi shift trim?

I am thinking about the two together and I am afraid it might be to busy.

Pics of this setup would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

-Pete

I've got both (but no pix), and I think it looks great. Definitely not too busy. My only complaint is that it seems to make the boot sag into the console even more. Someone has to make a shorter boot for us.

I have Sti trim and Kartboy shifter. The boot really sags, so much that it doesn't look very good. I'll be adding the Momo knob soon, have any of you seen the balck Momo boot in our cars. I'd love to know how it fits.

As for it looking busy - I think the Momo knob and Sti trim are made for each other. Have you seen pics of the real Sti setup? Even busier than this, but still looks great.

Here's mine, Momo Race AirLeather. Got it from AutoInnovations.com, check out their web site or give Steve a call at 408-956-8004, he's got the price you'll find. Even better than the price you'll also get great customer service.

Although anything is possible, I'd say unless you are a tailor, the answer is no.

The boot is like a tent or a teepee with four sides. The tent is tall because the four sides are cut tall and narrow so the bottom fits the base and the top peaks at the knob.

If you tried to shorten the boot by merely cutting around the edges, you would still have a narrow tent, only your base would not be wide enough to fit the base.

The only way I could see doing it right is by unstitching the four pieces of material, then cutting them so they are shorter triangles, then restitching them to make a shorter tent but with the same sized base. But if you do that, you are essentially custom-making your boot, and you might as well do it with leather.
