Default Elite Auto Glass?

Hi all:

Has anybody had their windshield replaced by Elite? If so, how good of a job did they do? I have a growing crack in my front windshield that I'd like to fix, and the quote I got from them, installed, before taxes is somewhere just shy of $200. Does this sound right?

The replacement glass also comes with the blue band of tint on the top, which my stock glass did not have. Can anyone make any comments here?

Any info is welcome! Thanks!

If Elite is not a good company to go with, does anybody have any other suggestions?

Kelvin

Just got my wife's Jetta windshield replaced there and it was like $215 or somethin after tax.

Pretty good price, plus you get like 30 free dinners at Jackson's Hole or somethin

Actually, maybe I should add an extra question:

"Are all windshield glasses created equal?"

Thumbs up

I've used them for the last few times on different vehicles. They have a good warrrenty and have done good work. Good to hear they finally have upper tinted glass now. No one had that a few months back. Maybe mine will have to break again....

Best place in town. I have been going there for a long time. Great service, good warranty and the one on Wadsworth either at 80th or 88th is next door to bw3's best wings in town.

Thumbs up Elite.

Went to Elite for the first time in May. Price was about $250 with tax and SCCA discount. No problems. Previously I had used others including Safelite (sp). Always seemed to have problems with wind noise and distortions that made it hard to see out at spots. No such problems with Elite. Got another ding at the Mile High Nationals (motor racing is dangerous!). Elite will fix it for free. So far so good.

Its not only the glass your paying for. Sometimes they need to replace the molding around the glass. On my old Land Rover Discovery the glass was $150 but they needed two moldings for $40 each. Service was fast and they did a great job. Plus they do free repairs on the glass they replace that saves about $50 each. If you get a star or crack, you should have it repaired ASAP.

Donít forget to ask about the SCCA discount!

Damnit! I got mine replaced this morning. I didn't know there was an SCCA discount! Oh well. How much is the discount, anyway?
