What the heck happened to this thread? I cast my vote yesterday, everything was nice and cool, today I check back to see who is leading and see things about show cars and records? Is this not about the best tarmac race car? Which one would you take to run the 24hr of Thunderhill ? Longevity, efficiency, and reliability here count. Also, COMFORT. If the drivers are dead after fighting with the car after 30 minutes, they cannot finish a race that last more than 1/2 hour !

I don't think this thread is about any specific race or kind of Tarmac duty more generic. I also don't see any of these cars being able to complete a 25 hour race nor has any of them finished one.

Only 2 Subaru's to date have completed the whole 25 hour race neither of which is in this thread, only 3 Subaru's have ever crossed start finish line at the end of the 25 hours as well and third one which only managed 6 hours total run time is not on this list either.

Damn you for remembering that one, I honestly forgot True, after winning the Modified Magazine Tuner Shootout I did enter the UMS race just to pop an IC hose at the start of my hotlap. I didn't really count that as I still had FTOD and won MMTS but fair is fair and I did not win that. Sorry to have taken anything away from the actual winner of that particular event, surprised I even got 2nd, NA STIs are pretty damn slow...

I didn't know the rules so just threw my car up on here. Eveidently that was OK after all as it's now on the list. Wasn't trying to swing large cack or bruise any egos, just stating facts and results in my first post (yes, I was mistaken about the UMS race. My bad). If some cacksucker wants to piss on my parade then they had better have the facts and results to do it like they got a pair, otherwise you're just a whiney ass little girl who should just go away, boo hoo.... This thread is about the top tarmac Scoob race car, why wouldn't our car be entered?

If our success rubs some peeps wrong or makes them feel inadequate/hostile/DGAF or whatever then go see your shrink. Those of you who can see and understand the proven results and records will appreciate a fellow Subie guy who has put out the immense efforts we have done and am fortunate to have had good success. I'm not ashamed of our success, in fact I am damn proud of what we have accomplished. We have walked the walk....

True...

Building a proper 25hr Scoob is impressive but it will only be as fast as a Spec Miata.

Building a proper rally Scoob is impressive but wont win any tarmac race.

Building a proper drag Scoob is impressive but wont even finish a TA race.

Building a proper TA Scoob is impressive but wont win any endurance races.

Building a hellaflush Scoob is... nevermind

Read through all the competition and I honestly think LIC has put the greatest effort into engineering their own car. From the carbon body parts to the modified geometry on their motorsports knuckles. Just top notch stuff.

The innovation always amazes me.

Carbon body parts represent innovation and engineering on their part? Huh? Not like it's something that has existed for years.

I think kognition wings represent innovation and engineering since they are a fairly new concept/ product.

Oh well this is all for fun. Looks like the car some kid built is catching the shops too.

I don't know of anyone else besides LIC that has made the dry carbon doors. They are the lightest out there on the market (that I know of) as well as their carbon roof skins. So I would say this is a new product also.

Took what I wrote out of context. I wrote that they have shown great effort in engineering their own TA car. They have also show to be innovative in it's design, not just bolting on parts others have designed.

When it doesn't work right, they do something about it.

I sure haven't seen any other company make adjustable idler pullies because they wanted an engine to perform better and safer. Or make a custom radiator and oil-cooler setup like theirs that is easy to service and has been track and street tested as well. They also have a really neat design on their modified knuckles, and made a whole line from them to suit many different people and most importantly their TA car. Innovative, as in they don't follow the norm and think for themselves.

I found some pics of the LIC monster. Not only is it easy on the eyes, but it performs as well too.
